Ecosport Reviewd by ACI and they gave it a big thumbs up: Ford EcoSport review, test drive | Review | Autocar India

The review is completely flawed as it is tested on 1.6L engine, which will not be coming to India. I think this is just paid reviews by Ford. I would like to see review of Ford ES of India specs in Indian conditions.

Buddy, even Ferrari Enzo is nice car, but doesn't make sense to buy in India, Audi R8 is better for India.

Auto trans is OK for 1.6L engine, not sure about 1L though.
There is no confirmation about auto box of any of the versions of ES as of now.

Would love to see the Automatic transmission on the 1.5L diesel too. This spotted test mule was it a petrol version or the TDCI one? That will be the perfect setup for an urban buyer in India if at all Ford offers us. Compact yet an SUV, sporty yet practical and to top it all a diesel mill under the hood with an Automatic transmission will throw the competition far far away. Please Ford, give us the AT in diesel engine too from Day 1 itself and see the Ecosport flooding the Indian roads in no time.

no I don't think so ,its a global product so devloping something specific for Indian market is not in their strategy.

The 1 litre ecoboost engine itself will give great mileage .

Looks like everybody's attention has got diverted towards Storme/Rexton and other various launches. All the wait for the said vehicles has been over now only one mini beast left is the Ecosport under the cover. All we have to do is wait until Feb 2013, that is when the Ecopsort will be on road as per Ford.
