It is just simple man, if they adopt new fiesta policy, then I will not be having mine, but will have ride in S class's Ecosport that's it

Ford Ecosport will face severe competition from Quanto as well as Duster. We are quite sure that Mahindra Quantos pricing would put pressure on the American manufacturer to price Ecosport sensibly and avoid the same disaster that happened to Fiesta Sedan .
Ford Ecosport would be a show stopper if they gets the Pricing factor right.
What do you guys think the price range of the Ecosport would be ?

I hope it will be between 7 to 9L according to me. If the prices are high then it will be a bare launch of a new vehicle with some 1000 or 2000 people buying it for passion

Since Ecosport would be a sub 4 metre vehicle I think it would be the premium hatchback segment that would be targeted. If they want to capture the market I am also of the thought that anything above 9 lakhs won't be able to satisfy the customers and make it feel VFM. If some one has a budget of more that 9 lakhs (bare ex showroom price) there are many choices ranging till sedans.

Way high even 9Lakhs may justify its Top variant and if beyond that then people have too many options in the market

But one thing for sure with the video's it is just a peppy HUV with good amount of space inside and having an SUV looks with good ground clearance I hope. Its front style and rear are really impressive to me !! May be I like more roomier things like this and a high seating postion

There is petrol ecoboost engine models and then 1.5 diesel models , expect it to undercut the duster but not by a huge margin .

When we decide what price points ford must launch the vehicle generally we take our own affordability factors in consideration and predict its human nature .

Remember it's just not about being 4 m thing it's also about how versatile this vehicle can be with the features also which ford will launch it with .

For many ford ecosport will be just a aspiritional buy for being something unique .
My guess here is expect it ( the diesel models ) to be higher then quanto across the variants . Petrol models 25,000 to 50,000 thousand higher then the jaaz and i20 .
Keep the i20 prices ( diesel ) as a ballpark figure for the ford ES diesel models with maybe some 25,000 to 50,000 premiuim .

What is HUV ?

The ground clearance is 200 mm better then Scorpio and 5mm lesser then safari .

Everything is good with Ecosport as far as we have learned from scoops and reviews. But it would be the price that would be decide the fate of this Little American SUV. Since Ford had a tough time in India with the last launch, the Fiesta Sedan which did not succeed only because of the P factor, we expect Ford won't experiment again this time while pricing Ecosport.

If Ford can get the pricing right the sales numbers would show whether its an SUV or something other. Other than price ,road of ecosport to the Indian roads and relevant place in the list of top selling cars is almost clear and sure

Storme would be a complete rugged SUV while Ecosport would be something that would match up with the Urban life and the city especially.
I look at Ecosport because of the fact that it is a sub 4 metre vehicle and its under the category SUV.
As we know Storme would be big and would certainly be something that would be difficult to handle inside city(no ideas of buying this truck like SUV) my eyes are only on Ecosport and its pricing .

Well said Raja... I too agree with you and it may be little higher than i20 diesel for diesel and little higher than jazz for petrol.
