The estimated prices seems to be tempting and hope to see the same when Ford brings it to India.

The estimated prices seems to be tempting and hope to see the same when Ford brings it to India.
Since Autocar is a famous magazine, I do expect that the same article would be seen by the Ford officials and would influence the pricing strategy.

That will be too expensive. The on-road price of top end should not exceed 8L especially when 4x4 won't be there & it is sub 4m MPV. For 12L, either one can buy Storme or add another lakh & buy XUV. Why buy this small pygmy ??

Diesel will come with same engine as that seen in Fiesta but Ford says that pricing of diesel will make it far expensive because of which people would rather buy another UV. If ecosport diesel costs 10L+, no one is going to buy.
The buyer of ecosport is not the one who wants off-roading or mean machine, but the one who wants a hatch but some different sort of a hatch. So, it will be buyers of i20, Jazz who will switch to ecosport but surely not the ones looking at safari/storme, scorpio.

2. Well this image has been shared by Ford India's facebook page to spot the difference. Well, it maybe the LHD Fiesta. Ecoport is closely related to Fiesta in interiors right. But i had a doubt if it could be anyway related to the Indian Ecosport ,stripping those features to price it well. Look if they give hi-tech features they will charge then we will scream ford has gone insane .
In my view if they decide to strip some features they will keep the most IMP ones . At times some features though fulfill our purpose are eye candy .

I think Ford would do the magic pricing by doing the same what they did in Figo. India specific specs+localistion+cutting down of unnecessary features = aggresive pricing.
But when it comes to petrol variants, since its the newly developed eco boost engine that is expected to power them, I think the price would be on the higher side considering the development cost Ford might have incured in developing the much anticipated ECOBOOST engine.

Got the magazine ! Read the whole article . The specs sheet on the last page of the article seems to be promising especially the price estimation ,would surely bring some hope and a smile on every prospective buyer who looks for this little SUV.

It would surely be a true Urban SUV if they gets the "P" factor right.
