Re: Exclusive! First Look at Upcoming Chevrolet Enjoy – Page.4

Is the size similar to Ertiga or Evalia ?

I guess its not a sub 4 meter vehicle.

Cheers,
Anshuman
It won't come under 4 meters definitely, Evalia has better visibility all round except for the rear and yes its even good when compared to the Ertiga.

The dimensions were not too big as I said. Definitely not as huge as Evalia.

It's all on the prices which it should offer, a basic model(with a/c PS) under 8.50 lacs would make it a deal breaker for cab segment.

Chevrolet Enjoy spied testing in Ahmedabad; Launch in early May in six variants

The Chevrolet Enjoy parked on the side of road near his residence. General Motors is believed to be working out the final details of the product ahead of its launch in early May. Production of the Enjoy got going at GM’s Halol plant in Gujarat in early February.

Sources close to GM India said the company has chalked out six variants (three petrol and three diesel variants with nomenclature LS, LT, LTZ). Following a thumb rule, GM will launch the product in about 15 cities in a phased manner, through May.

The Enjoy will start with 85-90% localization. As opposed to the Ertiga, the Enjoy enjoys a RWD layout with seating for 7 or 8 people. Its trump card is its spacious cabin and sizable luggage space behind the third row. GM India’s Lowell Paddock told IndianAutosBlog.com at the Sail U-VA media drive last year that the Enjoy’s third row knee room is more spacious than the Innova’s.

As you should know by this time, the Enjoy is not a creation of GM India. It was a low cost van developed by GM-SAIC-Wuling for customers in interior China who demand simple, no-frills vehicles. For India, the Enjoy is strapped with a 1.3-liter Fiat diesel engine, and a 1.4-liter S-TEC II petrol engine. Both engines are localized in India, and paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The utility vehicle segment is averse to the slowdown observed in the core passenger car segment. GM has found the Indian market to be a jumble, as when they were ready with diesel technology, blamed for past defeats, late last year, the customer sentiment was damp. However the Enjoy can turn things around for the company as they have shown with the Tavera that selling an MPV is not a tough ask.

GM chevorlet enjoy review out .

GM’s China-sourced MPV underpromises and overdelivers. Yes the interiors do feel cheap in places but otherwise GM India seems to have done a stellar job of re-engineering the Enjoy for India. To begin with, the Enjoy is compact, but spacious and comfortable, it rides, steers and drives well and the diesel engine is sufficiently powerful and tractable. Prices will only be announced at the time of launch in mid-May but we expect the Enjoy to undercut the Ertiga by a generous margin. Overall, here’s a whole lot of car for what we expect won’t be a whole lot of money. Isn’t that what we all want?

Engine line up for Chevrolet Enjoy MPV revealedThe engine line up for the upcoming Chevrolet Enjoy MPV has been revealed by the team at Top Gear India. The Enjoy will be offered will be powered by a diesel mill as well as a new petrol engine that is being assembled locally at the American automakers Talegaon plant.

The diesel mill is the same four cylinder 1.3-litre Multijet mill that powers the U-VA and the Sail sedan. It produces 78PS and 205Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. The petrol engine on the other hand is a four cylinder 1.4-litre mill producing 77.1PS and 187Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.

Top Gear has also revealed that the Enjoy is quite spacious inside and that on the top-end variant, the second row of seats do not flip forward, rather there is a space between them to access the third row. The top-end variant also gets integrated music system with AUX and USB compatibility. A surprise on the Enjoy is also the fact that the Chevrolet has installed a roof mounted aircon for the second row.

The MPV was unveiled as a concept vehicle during the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo and has been spotted testing in various locations across the country. Basically a RHD version of the Wuling CN 100 van, the Chevrolet Enjoy is expected to be launched sometime next month and will compete with likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Mahindra Quanto.

Meanwhile, General Motors India has announced the nationwide Chevrolet U First Camp with multiple services under one roof at over 250 dealer workshops across the country. The key highlights of service camp include free service check-up, discount on parts and labour for all the mechanical jobs undertaken during the camp.

Chevrolet Starts Teasing Enjoy MPV; Official Details Revealed

Chevrolet, in a typical fashion, has started teasing their upcoming car Enjoy MPV at its official website. We have already known a lot about the car and have spotted its test mules several times.

With this, Chevrolet has also spilled beans on the official details of the car. First unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012, Chevrolet Enjoy will come with a combination of petrol and diesel motors. While it gets the 1.4L 103PS petrol motor, the diesel is the same 1.3L SMARTEC producing 78PS/205Nm (yes it is FGT!). How will it be able to pull the load of increased passengers will only be revealed when it comes to the market.

Other official bits and features of Enjoy
•6 Spoke 14 inch alloy wheels
•Dual Tone interiors
•Standard Dual AC across all variants
•Tilt Steering
•12V Power outlet at the 3rd row
•Rear wiper and washer
•All 4 power windows and power adjustable ORVMs
•Height Adjustable Driver seat
•Remote Keyless Entry with Buzzer
•Spacious interiors
•Triple cluster instrument panel

There is a lot going in favor of Enjoy MPV which will go right against Ertiga in India. It is expected that Chevrolet, after the recent learnings, should be pricing Enjoy at a very competitive price. Maruti Ertiga starts at Rs 5.99 Lakh for base LXI petrol and Rs 7.4 Lakh for LDI. Chevrolet has to undercut Ertiga’s pricing to make a significant impact in this segment.

For the size of the vehicle, I think 14" are not justified, they would have atleast gone for 15"+[:)]
