Ha, Ha. I was 4 years younger in the pic with M800

Regarding, MASS VS CASS Both are more are less same. I do not find any difference.

In every service, they will do only 75% of the list what we have given. After returning home we will see some of the points which we have noted was not done. MASS they treat M800, ya its cheap car you will get only that much for that value. I literally fired one executive visited my car after I gave a complaint during first service feedback.

I do not know whether I expect too much or I do not know somethings. So do not care much about that. If possible check the things then and there and try to solve it before I leave service center.

Because of that attitude only I was able to proof something wrong with the FE results shown by CASS guy. While he checks it was 18 and while I check it it was 9.

Let us see.

Guys, I have forgot to update this here.

It will be a nightmare for every one who uses the Manaly express highway. Generally there will be a huge container traffic in the route. If there are any problem in either of the ports [Ennore port and chennai port] there will be pile up of containers and they will occupie all lanes of one side.

So in that kind of situation, traffic police allows the other traffic to use both ways of another side. In that situation, as a practice [Do not know right or wrong] we will switch on the headlights/parking lights to indicate the on coming vehicles that we are also on the same side in another lane.

Last week I had some work which might stretch my timings, so I decided to come by car. As usual I switched on the head lights/parking lights while coming on the same side as on coming vehicles were coming. But completely forgot about it and parked the car in parking lot and gone into the office. The worst part is I parked the car front facing the wall. If i wuold have parked the rear facing the wall, some one [genrally pool car drivers will be there and most of them know me] would have informed me. So for the entire day the light was on and by the time I go back around 7 pm the baterry was completely dry.

I was shocked to find my sparky was not cranking. I know some problem with battery, so with the help of some casual laborers around, try to start the car by pushing it. But nothing worked out. Being our factory in remote locations, I could n't find any car mechanic also near by. At that time I realized that I kept the light on the battery is dead.

I just walked to the transport department and told the person in-charge. He was kind enough to come with another vehicle [Ambulance] and helped me to start the car using JUMPER CABLES. I thanked him and drove back to home after 30 minutes of struggle.

I would like to know the following

• Why the setup is like this? why when I switch off the car completely all lights are not going off automatically? I understand if the hazard light and cabin light is always on but why head light/parking light.
• Can we change the setup the way I want, that is switch of head lights/parking lights as Music system, AC etc which goes off after the key is full off position.
• How do I do it? As DIY or with local mechanic or only with CASS

I hope the headlights & Music ssytem will get switch off when we remove our key. Only the parking lights will be ON after we removing our key.

Because parking lights & hazard lights will help us to park our car in road side at night time.

Please dont modify the wiring !

HL will be directly connected to battery, its a safety feature.
Example, when you are in a dark place you may need HL's to search some thing and you can also flash the HL's to seek any help when the car is having some issues etc.

Sethu Sir, being able to keep the parking lights on even after removing the key is a useful safety feature. BTW, my sparky's HL goes off on removing the key. But parking and fog lamps remain on. It is useful when you park your car in dark roadside areas and during a brief stop in foggy areas at night. So, changing the wiring system may create some problems on the other hand and I won't recommend that sir.
BTW, I have a habit of putting the gear lock pin in place and then checking the light and wiper switches before getting out of the car after parking. Try to make it a habit instead of changing the wiring system and you'll be out of trouble too.

Iam doing it now a days. Check the lights before getting off from the vehicle.

In my bike before starting, My right hand thumb switch off the head light and left leg will check for side stand before starting it. This is regularly followed by me.

I think the same kind of checking in car also.

Ya same here. In spark, assume both head lights and parking light is on. When I switch off Head light goes off and parking light will remain in ON only. even after take the key out it continuous to be in on position. That was the problem i faced.

Received a call from CASS. They have told me that the mileage tester has reached them. I am going there on monday to find the Accurate FE.

Hope I get good FE.

check the FE in trip, if it doesn't perform well then sell it out and go back in a volvo

No need to sell the car. I will swap the engine with my 800.
So he will get better FE.

Today I refilled petrol and I think it is just 10 KM/l. It will be finalized on Monday, Let me see.

@RK sir, What ever the FE, am not planing to sell my sparky for two reasons. One I love this car except for FE. Two it may not be profitable/not be useful for me at this stage
