Re: Velvet Sparky - Review After 10,000 Kms on Odometer
NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOO!!
Confusssiiiooonnnn!!!!
Friends, calm down!
And please allow me to clarify something before all TAIndians stop refuelling from that poor dealer's bunk!
See, the fuel tank capacity mentioned by ANY car manufacturer is only indicative and never millimetre perfect (or litre perfect ). This is,inter alia, because they have to provide sufficient space inside the fuel tank to allow the fuel to expand and also for it to slosh about during the car's movement (acceleration, braking, blah).
My car's manual indicates that the fuel tank capacity is 50 litres but I have personally
filled it upto 62 litres (at my friend's workshop, using a laboratory measure and a jerry can).
And, by the way, anyone who cheats a sweet guy like Sethu is surely going to hell. Right Iron?
Yes, I agree. Extra 12 lts is like having another mini tank in the car. Also may part answer your issues with FE..may be the pump has been looting you all along.
Sethu Sir change the bunk! anyways a few extra litres of fuel can always go in a car depending if it has any reserve built in to by design or the pipes etc, but 12 litres extra for a small car as Spark sounds ridiculous. ( Also please check if you have leaks or petrol evaporation somewhere, petrol can evaporate pretty quickly unlike diesel )
I suggest you start a fresh diagnosis now(since work has been apparently done by your chevy guys ) - From the next tankful go to a CoCo and fill up and do this for atleast 2 cycles and report back your findings.
Also no need to fill up the brim till the neck , you can do it till the nozzle auto cuts off, if you keep doing this at the same pump and same nozzle, minor discrepancies will average out itself.

I don't know, how it is possible
Most of the time, to fill my Vista's 38Litres Diesel tank will cost around 1,600-1,800Bucks. But filling Petrol for 42.42 liters will cost above 3000bucks. It will definitely make pain in our heart and that too with less mileage. I can feel the pain of your heart Sethu sir

Let us know the petrol bunk name, so as our TAIans will avoid that bunk from next time onwards
I filled nearly 42.42 liters of petrol today. Upto the neck. Let me check the same after 100 KMs. The manual says capacity is 38 liters. am sure already minimum of 5 to 8 liters of petrol should have been there. So now totally around 47 to 50 liters of petrol are there in my sparky. How it is possible against 38 liters.
