Guys, am in need of your help.

My sparky might be completing 20k (now 192XX on Odo)

I think there will be a service point now. What and all I need to check. More over the CPCO offer (3 years) will be getting over by this October. If anything need to be checked and changed I think I should do it by now. So that I need not to pay anything (or pay less).

I feel some kind of lag in pick-up recently. To my knowledge that is the only thing noticeable. Am sure there are some other points also need to be checked like Shock absorber.

Please guide me.

Chennai guys, I should bring my sparky for our next meet so that you guys can have a TD and tell me exactly if you guys find any issues in it.

On the CPCO offer , check the dates.. I missed the last service because I took it couple of days late. It is counted from the billing date and not the actual regn date.

Thanks Chayan.

Oops. I just checked. Since mine in 2010 model which i bought in 2011 it says 31/07/2010 as sale date. Anyway, let me try my luck. (actually CPCO is an offer, I have n't paid any amount for that)

Please note that title also got changed automatically from 10k to 19k, what an intelligent forum. Just kidding. (Hope mods should have changed it)

20000km is peanuts for this engine. If the body and mechanicals are well cared for against the hot and humid Madras weather, this car will last and last and last.

Settai: When do we get to see your CT100 review?
Yes Sam, as of now Am planing to keep this car for another three years at-least. Hope Mr. Modi do something for Auto LPG/CNG users some favor.

More over once my EMI on Sparky is over (by next October) I should not have much problem in fueling my sparky (I do long trips very occasionally now a days) either with petrol or LPG for my regular use (once in a week) which would be pocket friendly for me.

Regarding my CT100 review, oops I myself forgot about that. Will do that for sure soon. It has crossed 50k in last 10 years.

OT : How do you know my FB handle? (am talking about Settai)

And Guys still am waiting for inputs from you all for my 20k service query.

For 20000km service, just get the scheduled jobs carried out on the car and do not bother too much with hi-fi fundas.

Hope you run your car on petrol intermittently - LPG is a dry fuel; running the car on petrol every now and then would increase engine life.

About the handle, remember this scene from Sholay?

Yes, I use petrol between every LPG fill (atleast once for every two LPG fill). More over, my car will have petrol all the time and for starting it requires petrol only. After some time (based on heat i belive) it switches to LPG automatically (When originally in LPG mode). Once one fill of LPG is over till next fill it runs only on petrol. Some times it will be around 50 KMs also.

Hi,

After driving Spark i would only say that only Maruti Suzuki cars give good mileage with less cost of ownership. I am driving Ertiga ZDi now a days and I am fully satisfied with its mileage, performance and cost of ownership. I am getting 22 kmpl in Winters and 20+ in summers. I goto service center once or twice a year and I have to pay around 7-8000 for the service (I fill Synthetic engine oil whcih costs around 1.5-2k more than semi-synthetic). So I am fully satisfied with the vehicle.

Thanks.

@Sethu sir,

Why to think so much about 20k service, it as like others and as per service manual. Just tell them to follow the scheduled things written in service manual. If any thing needs to be replaced then tell them to take your approval before doing such thing.

i know sir. Its normal service. But based on our member's experience I wanted to know is there any point to be looked into particularly. The Service people might do it. but we can also insist on certain things right.

Some Updates from my side.

I hit a steel pole in the fuel station when I went to fill gas. All because of wrong calculation while turning. Purely my mistake.

Because of the base of head light is broken. Now it is loose and shaking while driving. And also focus has changed. Now I have different focus for left and right.

Checked with C.A.S.S and got the following quote

Our friend Bharath said this can be done half of the price in Pudhupet, whole sale market for 2 and 4 wheeler in Chennai (used as well new).

Not yet decided on anything. Will be deciding upon by first week for July.

Have Other interesting updates also

Settai: Rs. 1000 is 'Inspection charge' - the price you pay to the insurance surveyor to come and inspect the damage and prepare an estimate. Pretty standard fare with almost all insurance companies.

Don't loose the NCB, get it repaired outside.

Thank you.

I assumed it. But I don't remember paying this before (claimed insurance twice).

BTW, what would be the difference of amount I save by doing outside and NCB? Just for info.

Ask the insurance company how much NCB you stand to lose if you claim insurance, and compare it with how much you have to spend out of own tambi pocket . Compare the two figures and decide.

And if nothing works, try placing a pic of Rajnikanth in front of the damaged parts, maybe they will set themselves right then[glasses]. Yeanna rascala!!
