Hi Sethu
I use the Armorall foam as it lets me to spray and clean the tyres without getting my hand dirty. The foam cleans and drops off as water and dries automatically (no need to wipe). The shine is good but does not stay after a couple of days specially if you are driving in the dust.
Dont have experience on the rest. But over all the tyres appear like new immediately after it has been applied.

Guy tell me one thing.

  • Having this attached your steering will it be kind of disturbances while driving?
  • Generally where do you attache this? at top or side?
  • Please note the remote and IR signal, it is right side. Might be designed for cars in US. Will it work in Indian cars where the steering wheel will be left side of the Music system.

You will attach this at the left side of the steering. It is a IR remote control and need line of sight with the music player on your car. So it will not work when you have turned the steering wheel to the right.

It a nifty little device and I use to have something similar on my Spark and worked well. Only problem was that battery use to last about a month..but that may be specific to my device. Also remove this when giving the car for servicing.

Hope it helps.

Chayan, Please note in the video that the guy who is setting the signal does it in three sides. so hope fully it works in most angles, provided the music system is in right side of the steering wheel.

Re: Velvet Sparky - Review after 10k on ODO.

Sethu sir this is for me the best ownership review on the forum. Written with a pure solid heart of 24 Carat Gold!

I am really touched, this is not just a review of a car, but tells me a lot lot more.
I get a tremendous sense of human spirit, endeavours, humility and sheer positive energy.

One thing specifically I would like to add is your dad is still watching you and is extremely proud of you - keep up the good work mate, the 800 and sparky are just the beginning.

I am hooked up to this thread, hope you update it regularly, also its my humble wish to meet you someday when i am down south, it will be a great honour - Sorry i am acting up like a fan but i really am.

A big salute sir!
Just I was going thru thread I saw this post by IR.

Yes finally we have met but instead of you coming down to south and meetig me, I came up to Pune and met you.

I was extremely happy when you came into the restaurant and directly walked to me and introduced yourself. Thanks for the honor.

Hope to meet you again down south soon.

Hi all,
I had to sell my red Maruti 800 ( with heavy heart) and recently I have purchased 2007 model, Pista green colour Chevrolet Spark LT model with Plati alloys. Undergoing paint touch up. Will be posting the pictures soon.
I do carry lots of luggage. Can any one suggest suitable roof racks for my spark? My spark equipped with roof rails.
Thanks in advance.
