Even I thought of the same. But I thought if I need to put it at bottom I might need to drill hole for this. If anything goes wrong or if I want to revert back it will be very expensive to bring it back to old condition. If I do it at door pad it will be easy for me to roll back at the same it wont be so expensive also.
Why do you want to drill holes. Use 3M double side sticker pass the wires through the door pad and its done, neat and un-damaged. [:)]

OT : Come down to B'lore I will get it done for you !

It is easily available in any car accessory shop. It will stick, have you seen the rain/window visors they are stuck using the same 3M tape.

Just apply a bit pressure it will be out, if you have any stains just clean it with petrol/thinner.

Ha Ha, come down I will change the entire look of your car [lol]

the first one is a flasher. i have this inside my tail lamps.
I have seen a pic [where I took the below pic] but not able to understand. why do you want a flasher and when it will work? You have said it is attached to parking light. Generally parking lights will be always on when your main light is on. Wont this be disturbing the vehicle following you?

for door open warning lamps on doors , LED strips are much better
Hope you have mentioned this pic. Its good. Can you post a close up pic of this [in day light if possible]

yes i was saying about that only. flasher is for show purpose, some times back here in kerala it was famous but very very less vehicle had this setup in tamilnadu. so i fixed it. now connected it to brake lights.

about the door lights i removed it. because ,the door clip at that area cannot be fixed due to the wires, so the central locking unit started to rattle. now got the DIYd spot lights, i hope you saw that too.

@sethu: I think a better way would be to get LED strips and fix them at the bottom of the map holder pockets of the door. Pass the wires through a small hole at the same location. That way, even if you remove it afterwards, the modification made would not be noticeable.
Also will give good illumination and also act as puddle lamps (as found in high end vehicles).
However your current lights cannot be used in that case.

:offtopic: This is a snap of my Sparky along with Dad's.
That is really nice to see two sparky in a family.

Sparky in white is great. Have you ever thought of painting door handles and OVRM in body color? I think it will be more hot.

What is it in ODO now?

Friends,

Yesterday I crossed 7777 in my ODO. I clicked it also. This is on 360 days. [19-oct-2011 to 12-oct-2012]

BTW, my sparky is going for 3rd service based on due date nearing even thought it has not reached the 10000 km which is due for 3rd service.

Will the FE increase now? Should I have to mention about FE to the service guy or he himself will do it?

Hi Sethu, you can ask them about FE if you have any doubt.but IMO FE depends upon road condition traffic and many factors including the driver itself.Recently after flood in my town all the roads have become pathetic.last month my spark returned only 13kmpl in city with intermittent ac. The road condition is so pathetic that above 3rd gear you cant drive.

Lucas, I agree. In city it is okie. It should give better in highway right. Even in High way I got 10-12 only. That is my worry. In city I got 8-10. In LPG.

The highway mileage is really low. You should get atleast 16kmpl with load in petrol. Even in lpg the mileage you have mentioned is low. You should ask them about it.
