Voila TATA has clawed its no.3 spot from Mahindra it seems. But frankly speaking there is nothing to choose between both these brands(sales no. wise, know that margin wise Mahindra is healthy than T).But with launch of Mini Xylo things may tilt a little more towards M&M.[;)]

C'mon TaTa please launch new Safari, new Manza, diesel Nano,Venture cr4,repackaged Grande and other hanging products ASAP,to gain no.1 position in great Indian car bazar.[:)]

You have to notice how tata is literally cheating customers .

Even though price of Nano almost stands neck to neck with Maruti Alto but quality of parts still continues to be of old 1 lakh car. where as Alto is a fine car for the price.

then how do you expect boom in sales ?

If anybody feels I am bluffing ,then just give a visit to Tata showroom and see for yourself.

I would have expected tata to come up at number 3. It was shocking for them to come down to number 4 after going up to number 2.
But the real test would be for the storme.
Also tata were running some discounts last month. Will that continue too?

The country's second-largest car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today reported 6.40 per cent rise in total sales at 52,845 units in July.

The company had sold 49,666 units in the corresponding period last year, HMIL said in a statement.

In the domestic market, the company recorded sales of 27,585 units compared to 25,642 units in the year-ago period, registering a growth of 7.58 per cent.

Exports of the company went up by 5.14 per cent to 25,260 units during the month under review from 24,024 units in the same period last year, the statement said.

"The overall market demand is suppressed due to general inflationary trend, high fuel prices and interest rates. Unless any major triggers get activated, market sentiment is not expected to improve very much," HMIL Vice-President (National Sales) Rakesh Srivastava said.

In the A2 segment ( Eon, Santro, i10 and i20), the company sold 44,274 units, while sales in the A3 segment (Accent and Verna) stood at 8,454 units.
