I guess this is due the petrol price hike, their star performer's like Alto and Wagon-r would have taken a hit.
It's a new month and time for new sales figures again. Here we start with Toyota Kirloskar:

> Etios Liva: 2,587
> Corolla Altis: 523
> New Innova: 6,710
> New Fortuner: 1,399

Petrol prices were hiked a couple of days before, so it won't be the reason.
It might be coz of better competition to Maruti's hatchbacks, like Beat, Brio, Figo, i10, Eon and people who had to take loan to buy an Alto are happily buying Nano now.
Wagon-R, Alto and A-Star are also not equipped with diesel engines, that is also one factor.
As expected, Ertiga didn't dent Dzire's sales, it might have dented many Sedan's sales, like Verna, Rapid and Vento. Lets see the figures.

Again, despite of HUGE price diff. between its Petrol and Diesel models, most of the customers are buying Diesel models.
I hope Punto's and Linea's sales should have been increased this month.

Outstanding month for Honda:
Honda sold 10,334 units in the month of May 2012 as against 2,334 units in the corresponding month last year:- a growth of 343%.

Considering the soaring price of petrol, performance of Brio & City is remarkable indeed. IIRC it would be the best ever month for Jazz as well.

and there is a visible change in their attitude too. last month i had 2 phone calls from honda dealer asking whether i was planniing to buy a new cae or not.never heard such a thing in the past.
