I am surprised to see the big difference in the sales of Chevrolet Beat and Spark. I hope the new 1.2 SMARTEC Petrol and the upcoming diesel engine helps Beat get decent sales. I would love to see more of them on rads.

Linea sold 947 while punto ~1200 and 24 Palios.
Good to see FIAT back on track(specially Linea considering the Vento launch).
They need to advertise TJET aggressively. If City can sell 5K+ cars despite the rising petrol prices, the higher price and less features, I expect TJET to sell 1K units a month, specially now that it is available pan India.
Figo numbers are awesome! Ford must bring in the new Fiesta asap.

Nissan India clocks highest ever monthly sales of 2081 nos
Company’s Flagship model in India – Micra records sales of 2030 units
Chennai/Mumbai, March 1, 2011: Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) today
announced that it continues to be on a growth trajectory with its highest ever domestic sales of 2081 nos. in the month of February 2011 as against 44 nos. in February 2010.
Out of the total 2081 units, Nissan Micra, the made-in-India Global compact hatchback, leads the sales figures with 2030 units in February 2011 as against 1784 nos. sold in January 2011. This is also the highest sales attained by Micra in single month, ever since it started sales in July, 2010. The company has so far sold 10255 units of Nissan Micra since sales began on July 15, 2010.
Out of the remaining, Nissan Teana, the luxury sedan (CBU) clocked 14 nos. in
February 2011 as against 23 nos. in February 2010 and Nissan X-trail; the lifestyle SUV (CBU) registered sales of 36 units as against 21 nos. in January 2010. Nissan also sold 1 unit of it’s iconic sports car (CBU) Nissan 370Z in February 2011. So far, the company has sold 9 units of 370Z since its launch in January 2010.
The Nissan Micra comes with a standard manufacturer’s warranty of 2 years/
50,000kms (whichever is earlier). In order to understand customer needs and resolve their queries, Nissan has established ‘Nissan Care’ – A Customer Contact Centre.

Maruti Suzuki sales in February 2011
Chennai, March 01, 2011: Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 1,11,645 vehicles in February 2011. This includes 10,102 units of exports.
The company had sold a total of 96,650 vehicles in February 2010.
In February 2011, the company sold 1,01,543 units in the domestic market, up 19.8 per cent over corresponding month last year. Sales were up 19.4 per cent in A2 and 27 per cent in A3 segment. In C segment, company recorded a growth of 26.9 per cent.
In February 2011, Maruti Suzuki launched the Super Turbo Diesel SX4. During the month, company also launched the Luxury Sporty Kizashi sedan. The Kizashi units despatched in February are display / test drive vehicles for dealers. Deliveries of Kizashi to customers will begin this month.

Some key changes in the positions:
- Honda City sales have dropped significantly. The diesel version of SX4 has helped Maruti sell the beas in good numbers and the butchy sedan i s giving tough competition to Vento. The top position of the segment has now been grabbed by the Vento. Its high time Honda rethinks on their strategy to bring in a diesel engine which is not possible for atleast 2 years.
- The premium sedan category is not very hot. The Toyota Corolla Altis is leading the race closely followed by Chevrolet Cruze.
*Honda City toppled from first place by Vento(vento also outshines Polo): good news may be now honda will wake up from slumber and starts charging reasonably
*Total sales TATA & Hyundai less then the sales of Alto, shows the image of Maruti. Moreover Diesel seems to have picked the sales of SX4.
*Spark outselling beat, can anyone explain?
*Sales of Bolero:8k+ what is making that car sell?
*Aria sells a paltry 98, some serious pricing problems.
