Guys the news is that fiat is gonna launch the ABARTH Performance kit before the launch of Abarth punto. It would include those killer scorpian wheels along with abarth remap for existing 1.3 puntos. 90 % of abarth acc. would be there in the kit.

2 door car is again a mistake if I am not wrong.This is India.

Let them commit it, I would definitely buy it albeit at discounted rates when they fail to gather enough sales figures .And atleast Pune is in dier need of two seater cars. I would congratulate fiat for not bringing the two seater car with 4 doors as done by msil with A star.

Fiat takes a step closer to match Indian manufacturing and after sales with Global standards

Fiat India has inaugurated a new state of the art training center which will help their technicians attain global standards in after sales and manufacturing. The training center is located at their plant in Ranjangaon near Pune.

This is a first of its kind training center by Fiat India. The training will be imparted by Fiat’s Global partner, U-Netversity. This is an initiative, where Fiat India aims to replicate the standards of after-sales and manufacturing in India to that of globally existing Fiat standards. Along with imparting technical training, U-Netversity will also train Fiat India technicians on soft-skills. Consisting of 3 classrooms in total, the center has a capacity to train 50 technicians a day. Instructors are Fiat experts from Italy and Chrysler experts from USA.

Speaking on this occasion, Enrico Atanasio, MD of Fiat Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd (FGAIPL) said, “FIAT Automobiles set a global benchmark in areas of engineering and design in every geographical territory where it has its presence. India is a very crucial market for FIAT Group and we will replicate the Group’s international standards with this initiative. With this programme we hope to develop highly skilled and trained manpower that will cater to the automobile industry and serve our customers better by ensuring end to end process standardization and execution.”

FIAT INDIA TO LAUNCH UPGRADED LINEA T-JET TURBO PETROL SEDAN IN MARCH 2013; PUNTO ABARTH COMING IN JUNE

Come March 2013, Fiat India will launch an upgraded version of the Linea T-Jet, a high performance sedan in its Indian line up. Powered by a 1.4 Liter turbo petrol engine, the Linea is the only turbo petrol car sold in India, this side of the INR 10 lakh mark.

Fiat India’s top honcho Mr Enrico Atanasio has revealed more details about the Abarth brand to be launched in India during 2013. Mr Atanasio has confirmed that Fiat will launch the Abarth high performance brand in India during June 2013.

* The first car under the Abarth franchise will be the Punto Abarth hatchback.
* Both petrol and diesel variants of the Punto Abarth will be sold in India.
* To keep the Punto Abarth affordable, the car maker will built this high performance car at Ranjangaon.

The Abarth brand is expected to sell both high performance cars as well as high performance kits to suit Fiat cars in India.

In Kerala they started two exclusive showrooms for the Fiat cars. The showroom looks good. Hope the service personals are good and trained too. Really need more models to attract people to the showrooms.

Whether the jeep models will be sold along the Fiat models in these new showrooms??

Since I couldn't find any thread where I could post this query, I would like to you know if anyone has any idea about Fiat launching Punto with upgraded interiors? I don't have any complaints about the other things its only the interiors I don't like & would like to know if there is any such info?

There is too much talk about independent showroom s and new models but what about independent ASS facility? @cf , please probe them on this , and try to find out servicing costs for punto.

Also , drill ' em about exact difference between tata-fiat ASS vs independent fiat ASS during the Q&A session.

Everything would be taken care of after the breakup with tata as they can't do much while in the tie-up, officials at the meet told us that as soon as they broke-up with tata, they'll come up with new independent service stations along with aggressive marketing strategy.
