Why not go for BT speakers in pioneer it is slightly a higher model DEH-4450BT if you could have extended your budget from 3300 to another 2k.

Now the car looks pretty with that moulding roof interiors looks really cool.

Thanks Manjoo,
My budget for the ICE was very limited & I wanted only a branded one either Pioneer or JBL, hence this is the best of what I could get in that range.

Thanks a lot, most of the interior works (repairs & replacements) are done by me. Ofcourse my friends both in TAI & others do help & guide me.

As far I know, for repainting M800 completely (that is stripping of all mechanical & electrical parts + removing old paint (using acid bath) & tinker + paint ) will cost you around 25K in Bangalore. This is for Non metallic colour. If you are planning to repaint the car with the same colour then complete removal of old paint is not a must, so you can save almost 7K making it approx 20K.
Approx price of parts for M800 Type1 , copied from my post on another thread

Replace Bumpers (Use M800 Type1 only) - 2K (max)
Replace all door handles & rollers with M800 Type 2 - 400/- approx
Replace all wheel rims - costs 750each (Approx) MGP price
Check your door hinges for excess play (let me know if you need any help in finding the condition of them), if yes they cost 80rupees approx each
Vinyl Mat for whole car floor - 1.2K max (Choose lighter colours)
Door pads (7pieces) - Type 1 is 600approx, type 2 is almost similarly priced
Headlamps + Tail Lamps + fender Indicators - 1000max (all lumax, except tail lamp)

SUNSHADES (without vanity mirror) - 60/- MGP price

Mechanical parts replacements (only the must ones mentioned here)

Radiator Hose kit - 170 (3pieces)
Clutch Cable - 150 (MGP only, NEVER buy REMSONS brand) max
throttle cable - xxx (no idea, Varun can help here)
Brake Booster kit - 3370/- (KBX Brand)
Brake Disc Pads - 150/- (Pair - KBX/Bosch/delphi)
Drive shaft boots (wheel side & differential side - total 4nos) - 700/-

Fuel Filter + Oil filter - 200max
Fuel pipe (pink tube) that connects the fuel filter etc - 20Rs.
Rear Shock Dampers - 450a pair (Acdelco brand, I have changed this recently) not sure about MGP price
Headlamp Bezel - plastic part - 25/-
Type2 Wiper arms + Bosch wiper blades - 500/- approx
Ignition coil wires kit - Delphi brand - 270/-
100/90 Headlamp wiring kit (with relay): Roots/Hella/Bosch = 700 (max)
100/90 Bulbs - Philips - 200Rs. max

Fluids Replacement:

Engine Oil: 3Ltrs - 15W40, Castrol/Shell
Brake Oil: company says use DOT 3, Me, Varun are using DOT 4
Distilled Water for battery: 20Rs/ltr (one litre is enough, available at most battery shops)
Whatever distilled water is remaning use it in windshield wiper tank.

I have mentioned the approx prices of parts in this reply, I will update this thread shortly with all bills so that all M800 fans have clearer idea of parts price.

Re: ICE & New moulded roof

I am delaying the seat cover works for two reasons
1. I want to get the seats from Alto/ Type 2 800/ Chevy beat
2. Vitamin "M"
AFAIK the difference between type 1 & 2 is the headrest ( IMO awkwardly shaped headrests ) and the reclining mechanism. rather u can Switch from rotate to recline mechanism to pull to recline mechanism(Hope you can understand my thinking!) [:D] just like i did in my car. Have put on headrest also to the rear seat that you and varun were planing to do. the whole thing cost me 5.5K which includes everything ( changing mechanism, new art leather seat covers, rear headrest, new foam and springs were broken they replaced it, Labour ). Forgot to add that the rear headrests can be adjusted just like the driver seat according to the passengers height.

Attached are the images of my seats in my car (sorry about the worn out neck-rest)
1- pull to recline mechanism
2- co driver seat (black art leather seat covers)
3- rear seats with headrests [:)]

Thanks Sunjay,
The seat covers are neatly done. Please post a pic or two from backside/ without headrest pillows. The problem with my car seats is that the sponges are completely worn (very very thin) & their colours are also brownish. I dont want to spend a lot of money in restoring these front seats as even the rails are in pretty bad shape.

I drive a Chevy Beat (My boss's) to work daily & I really love those seats. My first preference would be those seats if not I will go for Type 2. I think Type 1 & Type 2 seats are very different from each other, although not sure.

Where did you get your seat works done? How much time did they take?

Useful Info for shopping:

AFAIK No shop on J.C.Road gives any discount on MGP parts, so its always better to buy it from reputed MGP outlets. Skip the Domlur outlet, they have only fast moving items. My first preference would always be Essar near Oorvashi Theatre. Although parking is a bit or problem there.

SuzukiFan:
Welcome to TAI, your FIRST post is in my ownership thread [clap] I am really happy to see yet another M800 lover. Please open a new thread & post tonnes of photos of your car & share your experiences with it. In M800 I always felt the older the car the better it is, especially in Carb cars.

Update:
I have removed the damping material on my car firewall long back as it was in bits & pieces. I threw it thinking I will get a new one, to my horror most shops dont sell these! MGP has no supply of this thing!

In my last trip to Vellore, my cabin was literally an Oven with no roof & naked firewall (its pretty hot after sometime). So I bought the thick (almost 10mm) rubber mat used in Auto rickshaws. I will take measurements patiently & cut it where ever required & will fit it tomorrow. Dashboard too will be removed & fit back with blower connections etc.

I will post the photo tomorrow. It costs 330/- bought it from Kalasipalya (near Basappa circle). Shockingly the same mat (same material & size) costs 600/- near my home! A friendly Auto driver guided me where to buy & also gave a sample of the one he was using. Hope this DIY helps in reducing engine noise & some amount of heat shield on the firewall.

Here are the pictures of the mat. Guys please do suggest if I should add some thick soft cloth too, so that noise cancellation is more. Otherwise I would not be able to enjoy my new ICE, if the engine is roaring inside the cabin [:)]

Please do click pic of installation I am too interested to lower my gypsy roaring to enjoy peaceful cabin
Thanks Mastersquall,

Surely I will click photos & upload here. This sheet alone wont absorb the engine bay noise, hence I need to add something softer than this in between this sheet & the firewall & glue them together. The blower unit will hold them tightly once fixed. There are much softer variants of this rubber available (it is used in large commercial vehicles like Tata Winger & Tempo Traveller. However those rolls are much larger & costlier too. (If you plan to use similar thing in gypsy then this roll wont be enough) I will post pictures of measurements & installation by tonight.
