Do you mean to say that you are going to upgrade the tire size? Also you have mentioned that spare wheel is 14 inch size , is it undersized or same size as compared to remaining four tires ?


And how are you managing now with a tire suffered from sidewall cut?

Got it repaired 2 months ago and running with no issues.

Update:

344 Km-18.04L=19.06 Km/l.Wednesday trip FE.

Tornado-Early tire wear is due to driving bad roads and going in much speed every time in highways.

This(22 kkm ) means that roads are really bad for tiresand in this condition you should not upsize the tyres if you are bothered about side wall damage.
Stock size is 185/60 R 15 ,and amongst the premium brands only bridgestone offers it as B 250& Turanza ER 300.
B 250 is general category tyre won't offer much over stock Accelere .
Turanza ER 300 is a premium offering and basically a comforts tire which will make you happy while being a unidirectional tyre it will offer good sporty handling to your dad .

10K Km review

Had ran 10K Km with Rocket in almost 5 months.Now,Odo reading is more than 23000 Km.In this 10K Km,had done 6 highway trips and most usage in city.And,second service is just 7000 Km away.By 3 months,will be getting her serviced.Monthly running-2000 Km and daily run is about 50-70 Km in city.And,in 5 months,the FE was 12-15 Km/l in city and 18-23 Km/l in highways.

Buddy, now ,you own a vw ,gone are the days of 'kitn deti hain ' msil specific days . Almost all cars in this category give more or less similar FE .

We are intrested in knowing the engine performence ,nvh levels ,bodyroll etc at various speeds and situations eg.Ghats , city roads ,highways.

Sad news-VW Badge on front grille got flicked yesterday night.Now,planning to get another one from Ebay.BTW,Car had done about 24600 Km.

Oh, that's sad to know. VW Polo/Vento's front badge being flicked is a common practice in most cities. The worst part is it costs 2000 bucks to get a new one! [cry]

Tornado Sir,

Engine performance is just excellent.Performance in highways are excellent.We touched 140 Km/h easily.Bodyroll is somewhat excellent in city roads.

Yup. That is probably what he meant. Unless he loves roller coasters [evil]

Sad to hear that the VW badge got flicked. Luckily down here in Kerala, flicking badges is not a common occurence. I read somewhere that VW had reduced the price of the badge from Rs. 2000 to less than Rs. 1000? Not sure.
