Could you put up a picture of the bill or post a break up, if it is not too much of a task? 23k sounds a bit steep for a second service. Did you have to pay for the broken vents? And which VW? I hope it's a Jetta. The new highline is VFM compared to the old one. Even the Passat is a very good car [glasses]

Had a talk with my SA last night. He said bill is Rs.22800.Yes,we should pay for broken vents too. And,replaced brake pads too after 30,000 Km.And,yes about new VW,you will know about it in a few days.

Next coming soon, picking the Vento from service center and picture of bill.I think almost all tires grip is getting lost.Planning to change it to 195/60R15 soon.Had considered MRF ZLO as my next tire upgrade. Why because it is VFM and new version had been launched.

Re: Beige Rocket: Pre-worshipped VW Vento Highline TDi; 30000 Kms Up

I think the ideal upgrade for the Vento is 205/55 R15. Not 195/60 R15.

How much did you have to pay for the AC vents? I'm asking because I know it is a very common problem with loads of Polos and Ventos having this problem.
Also, how much for the brake pads? I might change the brake pads during my second service as well because the bite is pathetic now compared to my Getz and Punto.

Regards,
Vipin

Edit: Sankar, the ac vents in the Polo/Vento are notorious for breaking easily. I think it is the direction changing thing that breaks off. Touchwood, my car doesn't have the problem.

Done 33700 Km.Its about 21000 Km in 10 months.Im happy with my Vento. As my family is increasing, planning to sell this and get an XUV500 soon.

In 10 months of ownership,we had done highway trips and City runs.Vento could overtake Fluidic Verna 1.6 in highways easily.Till now,had spent had spent about Rs.35K for 2 services.

Hey

How is the acceleration of the Vento? I have driven the car only on short test drives and couldn't gauge much except for the fact that the turbo kick is awesome. Our Kerala highways are congested at times and that is when I wished the Polo has more power. This is the reason I decided to get the Vento.
The XUV500 is a very good car. Drove one of my friends XUV and was pleased. It feels somewhat like a car. Not as much as how the Innova feels but still very good.

Acceleration-One thing awesome! My friend, who has XUV500 Nov 2012 version,said,XUV500 is one of the best vehicle. As of now,no plans of selling the Rocket.Dad loves the car and uses as his daily ride.Instead of selling Rocket, will be buying a new vehicle in Feb 2014.Cancelled used Polo booking and planning to book a Grand i10 or Swift Diesel as a company for Vento. But,dad said no to Swift and Grand i10 because they look too small and he wants to book a Rapid or Verna. If they doesn't satisfy us,another Vento would be the winner.BTW,today, she completed 10 months with us.She had done more than 21000 Km in 10 months. Now,Odo reading is more than 34000 Km.And,she had completed 34K Km yesterday.Vento is one of the best Car we have ever used and best car as our family workhorse.

Well, bro, IMO, Rapid and Vento both are the same vehicle. Just some minor differences. Even if you buy a Rapid or a Vento. You get the same feel.
Why don't you check some other cars too? Honda would be bringing their City Diesel soon in the market.
