Exactly but both S drives and C drives have different strengths but both doesn't last only. Max then can last is 30-35k but A drives can last for 45k or more depending on how the tires are maintained.

A Drives - All day drive (every day Tyre)

S drives are not suicidal tires They are pure performance oriented tires. They provide a lot of road grip and traction. With S drives you can take any corners with confidence. A bid drawback of S drive is poor mileage - Tires last for 30-35k max as S drive are made of softer compounds of rubber. A drives have much more comfort and last 45-50k kms. But A drive won't have grip levels or traction of S drives.

Sorry to disappoint you,tire upgrade plan is postponed after 3-4 months and after 25K Km.

BTW,Ran 171.6 Km and filled 11.31L of Diesel and got 15.2 Km/l.Mostly used in City runs.And,completed 16K Km yesterday.Now,Odo reading is 16,100 Km.Still 8900 Km for tire upgrade.

New FE Updates and newer Updates!!!!

FE Updates:

Car is getting 21 Km/l in City these days.I m pretty impressed with FE.Now,should check Highway FE.Since last 1766.1 Km,I got 17.7 Km/l.And consumed 100L of fuel.That is 90% percent of City and 10% of Highway.


And,yesterday went to Reliance Autozone at Malakpet for exchanging the tires.Came disappointed.He quoted 16500 Km Tires for just 200/tire.I m shocked.And,he is pushing me to go for Yoko AVS DB550 195/60R15,which is 5600/Tire.Now,will ask MRF dealer for quote for exchanging the tires and quote of MRF ZLO.

DTE showing errors!!!!

I m facing a problem with DTE.When my dad filled Rs.1000 worth Diesel,to my shock,DTE had showed 130 Km only.DTE is having some errors after service.Before,errors were not there.Is anyone facing the same problem with your Vento's and Polo's?Car had done more than 150 Km and 70 Km left.On filling day,dad had covered just 36 Km and DTE showed just 110 Km.What to do with DTE and MID?I should give it to VW or should live it?

I m facing a problem with DTE.When my dad filled Rs.1000 worth Diesel,to my shock,DTE had showed 130 Km only.DTE is having some errors after service.Before,errors were not there.Is anyone facing the same problem with your Vento's and Polo's?Car had done more than 150 Km and 70 Km left.On filling day,dad had covered just 36 Km and DTE showed just 110 Km.What to do with DTE and MID?I should give it to VW or should live it?

Might be a small software glitch. Better show this to VW during your next service as it's not a major issue. I always prefer giving my car to service center if its a major fault because these guys at service centers drive customer's car so rashly. They even rev the cars and turn the cars like if they are racing in F1. So if it's not a major issues better live with it and show it to VW during next service(Probably next year i guess as VW has yearly service right?).

246 Km-18.85L=13.05 Km/l.Had an airport trip just now.Done in 60-80 Km/h and got 20.5 Km/l from MID.That is without AC while going to airport.Now,coming back to home,MID showed 17.9 Km/l a.k.a 18 Km/l.Since 2000 Km and filling 118.38 Liters of Diesel,I got 17 Km/l overall.

Have you changed the damaged tires?

No brother.Yet to change the 4 tires soon.

BTW,we put 6 bags from airport in Rocket's trunk.Easily we can put 4 bags in Vento's trunk.And,another update.Distance to empty is now showing 130 Km with 4 bars.Filled 9.42L of Diesel worth Rs.500.I m thinking that this issue has gone.What's your say guys?

In between try to change the tires asap as running with damaged tires are not at all safe.

Only 1 tire got damaged.Others are just okay.Presently,we are facing shortage of money.Maybe,will change after completing 20K Km,which is just 3000 Km as of now.

Newer pics and 17K Km

Hello guys,

I m posting pics after many days.Now,this is with my friend's Skoda Octavia.And,completed 17K Km yesterday.

18000 Km completed!!!!!

Car had completed 18K Km on Friday.Now,Odo reading is 18150 Km.Giving normal 12-15 Km/l in City.Still DTE from MID is making me mess.When we fill Rs.1000 of Diesel,DTE is showing just 190 Km instead of 250-300 Km.Fastest 1000 Km in 10 days.

New updates:

Had an highway trip of 304.2 Km and filled 18.47L of Diesel worth Rs.1000.Still 4 bars of Diesel and 120 Km from DTE is left.And,having another highway trip tomorrow again.

BTW,previous FE update-242.3 Km-18.47L=13.1 Km/l.City runs only.

To my shock,DTE had showed 320 Km of distance after filling 18.47L.I hope there is no problem.Actually,18.47L of Diesel comes with 6 bars.Having 400 Km trip and will post new Highway FE update.And,driver had touched only 60-120 Km/h.Now,no more 140-150's.
