Issue can be sorted out by adding relay to the horn, so that it off loads the extra burden from the stock wiring. Anyways required since the horn upgrade is planned. Never faced the issue since the setup since the second day of purchase with upgraded horns (and I rarely honk [lol]).
I'm not a fan of honking either. But you know how it is in Delhi, sometimes there's just no way around it with the way some folks ride and drive.
By the way, I have a couple of scenarios in mind:
  1. If I keep the single stock horn and just upgrade to a 55W LED, do I need a relay for the bulb or the horn?
  2. If I upgrade to both dual horn and the 55W LED, do I need a relay for each, or is just the horn enough?
Are the dual horns from the Fazer or R15 V3 loud and melodious enough? Can you recommend any other horns that are loud but not irritating?

Scenario 1 - Horn needs one to solve the dimming issue. End of the day, positive supply is fed through same thin wire for the entire electricals, which bears all the load and can't feed all of the needs the same time.
Scenario 2 - At least the horn needs one, but adding one for the headlight can be better, full unrestricted output, but again, can live without that as well. For headlight, need a customized one as kits are available only for cars and bulkier. Can make a kit out of 2 horn relays as the load is way less than a car setup.

Like @VISHNUCARCRAZY said, it reduces load on stock wiring.

Fazer horns are decently loud and not irritating like old Pulsar's chrome horns or the RE horns. Minda K70 comes in Fazer, Apache and later Pulsars. Earlier ones were Fiem. I'm using K90, which is a bit louder then K70, but not loud or harsh as Roots vibros. Hella got similar S90, which comes OE in many cars with dual horns.

Thanks a ton for your suggestion! I'm going to start with adding a relay for the horn first. I’m ordering this Nikavi brand relay harness for this setup. Also, I was wondering, has Minda rebranded the K90 horn as the D90?

Update on my progress

After implementing the relay that was suggested by @deville_56. The horn sounds perfect now.

I decided to go with the Hella S90 dual horn setup, and I’m really happy with the result. It’s loud and melodious without being irritating—just what I was looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion Dilip (@deville_56)

Check out the photos below for a closer look at the setup:

Replace that 30 Amp fuse with a 10 or 15 Amp one. It's an overkill.

No issue retaining that. Keep it till it fails, might last longer than anticipated. #SavingResources.
Alright, thanks bro. Btw, have you ever used 15W or any other grade fork oil in front shock absorbers? I'm planning to overhaul my front suspension to change both the springs and bushes, so I'm considering using 15W this time since the stock oil (10W) makes the shocks feel too soft.

15W is rare. Currently running on 20W. Stiffer then stock, less bouncy.

You are right, no one in Delhi has 15W oil in stock. In fact, some of them are not even familiar with oil grades and are selling generic hydraulic oils.

20W is available in Motul, but I'm worried it might make the setup too stiff. Is there a day-and-night difference compared to stock? I only need a 30-40% improvement over stock.

Had same experience some time ago. None of them were aware of oil grades. They were like it's just fork oil and anything will do. Only one guy was curious and asked me more about that. OEMs sell them as just fork oils, even the shock manufacturers like Endurance and Gabriel. Only OEM mentioning grade was Yamaha. Aftermarket was Motul, Liqui Moly, etc. Even the rest of the latter were not interested in mentioning the specs. 5W and 15W are available with Liqui Moly, but costlier.

Regarding stiffness, didn't notice day-night difference on FZ, but on Karizma, with 10W, it used to bottom out and 20W feels jacked up and travel is very limited.

Liqui Moly is hell expensive. One seller from Indore (Rider Junction) is selling it for Rs879 for 500ml + Rs200 for shipping. That would cost me around Rs2000 for both forks, which is way too much.

Anyway, If I don't find a 15W oil within the next week, I'll try the Motul 10W or else 20W instead. I’ve also heard that oils with the same viscosity rating from different brands can perform differently, so I'm curious to see how it performs.

By the way, could you share the link to the steel braided brake line you’re using? Or do you have any recommendations for an OEM brake hose that fits the FZs directly? I found a few on Amazon, but they’re non-branded and don’t have any certification. If I remember correctly, our stock hose is 80cm, right?

There is day-night difference with the steel braided hose. Mine is a generic one bought from Amazon. Working well. Pulsar 220 hose in direct fit, but 80 cm and tight fit. No issue when bike is on wheels, but stretches on main stand. An 85-cm hose would have been perfect. Mine is a 90-cm one. Had to route through the other side to manage the length.

As far as I remember, the last time I swapped the hose, I measured the stock one at 31.5 inches (80cm). I’m guessing the Pulsar hose is 75cm, which is why it’s a tight fit.
So far, the 85cm hose is only available from RCB, but unfortunately, that doesn’t come with rubber grommets. I had a very bad experience buying from Amazon, one seller shipped the wrong size, and the other hasn't shipped yet. Given this, I’m now thinking of buying and importing from AliExpress instead.
