How are shallow subs compared to the normal ones?
You have to be very careful when selecting shallow subs as most don't play well at 2ohms. Apart from this don't have much knowledge about them, as never had a space constraint so always went for 1 or 2 12" in my cars. [:)]

Hi Friends,

I have been following this group since few weeks now....

I got the bought the following for my Verna Fludic

Head Unit - JVC - AV71BT
Amplifier: RF R600X5 Channel 600W - new model from U.S
Sub-Woofer - P2D212 - 12" Punch 400 W RMS and 800 Watt Peak Power - Rockford Fosgate

I am confused which would be the right fit speakers for verna (to sit in the factory slots in the door) - Price is not a issue, I want the best speakers front & back.

Request - to give me the best speakers 6-5" which will complement to the above configuration.

Regards,
Ravi

I would advice you to have audition, as speakers have diff. sound signature. It is up to you what would you like. But still have a look at rainbow, micro precision speakers. I love the later one most micro precision 3 series( in short MP3) are my favorite.

Thank you.

Audision Hertz EV-165 HV would work out as one of the best speakers? I will look at micro precision 3 series as well.

Here is the update on ICE Installation

Installation done by "Fast Tracks" - Hyderabad "Expert" superb Job

Head Unit - JVC AV71BT - All Functions on Steering are working with out any extra interface/adapter
Components - Hertz ESK 165.5 300 W - Front
Co-Axial - Polk
Amplifier - RF R600X5 - 5 Channel 600 W

5th Channel is 300 RMS at 2oh - Dealer says we can connect P2 D2-12 400 RMS Sub.

Any ideas from members on Sub vs Amp RMS?

I have mentioned my budget earlier jarpickle [:)] it would be fine for 10-15k.
Is your budget 10-15k for the subwoofer alone?

I have used Infinity Kappa 120.9w and IDQ 12 in my prev. rides. As on today I am using a humble RF P1 in my etios. Man, it's fast for it's price. [evil]
How do you rate Kappa 120.9w 12" subs? I am planning to go for 2 of them.

I am looking for an under the seat application so a shallow one would suit more.
The best bet for you is Blaupunkt - XLF 200 A 8'' Subwoofer. It comes with class D amplifier so just plug in to your HU and you have good sealed bass at you disposal while utilizing very limited space.
