Audio System Upgrade on Hyundai Verna Fluidic

After talking to shopkeeper( yet to bargain ) i am thinking of ...
JBL 4 channel amp @ Rs5500 , Infinity/JBL components at front @ Rs 4500 , JBL/Sony 8" woofer + enclosure @ ~ Rs5000 , fitting Rs800 and wiring Rs1200-1500 .
My budget is around 17-18k for the ICE upgrade and i dont need to show off the loud boom boom effect , just for my listening pleasure !

dont buy sony sub.. jbl is better then sony.
in your budget you did a good choice.
keep the stock front speakers as they are better then the rear ones.
you will need 2 converters too.

My stock HU does not read 8GB Transcend pen drive. It reads only Kingstone 16GB pen drive. But all songs not are read. I have not made different foldres for songs as IMO the stock HU does not recognise folders in the pen drive. I have directly copied all the song in pen drive without single folder and i have numbered the songs like 1),2),3)....

Both the pen drives are FAT32 farmatted but how cannot it read transcend or immation pen drives? Neil whats yours idea?

i am using sandisk 4 gb pendrive in car. but i have played with my 8 gb kingstone too.
It must be FAT32 format. NTFS doesnt work.
My friend uses transcend 4 gb in his pioneer HU and his pendrive never worked in my car. so i guess transcend is a problem.

and i put songs in folder. it works for me

I thought it. The transcend doesnt work though it is FAT32 formatted.

Have categorised your songs in different folders? Can you play a single folder songs at one time? What i mean to say is when you select one folder songs to play, does HU reads songs from that folder only or reads all the songs from all folders present in pen drive. The reason why am i asking is i too had made folders for different songs but HU read all the songs from all folders but not a perticular folder songs. Did you experience it?

Get an Jbl GT5 bass ensure that you get an orginal one an four channel heavy duty 5400w Alpine amp with a magnetic crossover its an four channel one ...and for fitment ask ur electrician to connect the amps power control wire to the positive terminal of ur cars factory installed system and rest of line input to the front speaker output wires and as i think ders always line out pin in vry factory instaled system so connet it to it and ur issue of conneting the amp to current sytem will be resolved with the high quality sound .....

i have formatted transcend to ntfs too and tried but didnt work. actually ntfs never work.

it plays folder songs in sequence and after the last song it switches to next folder.
i think there may be an option to switch off Random somewhere.

can you choose only one folder of which you have to listen songs? Does HU read the songs of that particular folder only? Suppose i have five folders namely 1 to 5 in which i have stored my songs. Now i want to listen songs of folder 3 only, Does it possible? If yes, how?

It means there is no point in making such folders where seperate folders are not readable. So i directly copied all the songs without creating folders. I have 545 songs which are serially arranged. But i think not all the songs are played or read. Does it happen with yours?

Yippee Guys, I just got my Verna Delivered today...
Will be going for the ICE upgrade this weekend...

Can someone pls suggest me the approx. market prices for the below mentioned components in delhi??

1) Focal Polyglass 165 V30
2) Infinity Kappa 60.9cs
3) Polk Audio DB6501

Sorry for the late reply since i was busy in some other things . I will do the upgrade in the coming 3-4 days . Few questions from my side

1 : What are converters ( sorry if mentioned earlier , i didnt get it ) , my dealer never mentioned the need for any converter . How much do they cost ?

2 : On stock the volume from rear speakers is very low compared to front so rear new speakers should be connected to amp along with the woofer ?

3 :Yesterday when i visited the shop i was really tempted to install a new head unit which had touchscreen , dvd etc . Will this hamper my stearing controls , anyone installed a new HU .

4 : Anyone heard of VIBE series of speakers , dealer was eager to sell me this , their demo sounded good !

Not all HU have Steering Control Compatibility feature, so make sure that the new HU has this feature.
And, all those HU which have this feature, are actually "Steering remote ready", and need to have a connector installed seperately for that purpose.
