Hi Anshuman,

Our brand new Tigor suffered a puncture, I have been noticing a slight drop in tire pressure since the day of delivery, suspected a faulty valve, while filling air for the second time, saw a big fat nail with a flat head, got it repaired today.

The wiper speed has two settings, one is the fast one and the other one is really slow, there is a good 5 sec gap or more before the swipe is repeated, which is annoying. Can the speed be changed? I want it to be quicker as it is in other cars. The other car we have is the grandi10 asta 1.2 petrol

Another interesting thing happened y'day. I was at a petrol pump to fill air (thats when i discovered the puncture) a man comes up and starts inquiring about the car, asked me about mileage, told him that its been on the road for only 4 days and I was getting 12km/l, then he asked me about noise, i said its a 2018 model and there is no nagging noise, to which he asked me if my car was on, which it was (he wasnt able to make out that it was running), asked me to press the A pedal and then told me 'isme bhi noise hai"[roll], before I could say anything he said he too owns a 2017 Tigor and walked away, saw him getting into a white xz. I was like even if the car sounds like a tractor from outside what matters to me is the NVH from inside![;)] I guess he was behaving like the fox who couldnt reach the grapes and hence concluded 'mera bhi noisy, tera bhi noisy'. Too all prospective buyers there is no nagging noise inside the cabin, its perfectly acceptable and anyway I love the bass and treble on the stock Harman Connectnext audio system, i dont have time for the engine noise[:D]
Really man, the slow wiper speed is too slow and irritating. Don't know how it got approved by Tata.

See if the intermittent wipe is useful here to you. With the inner rotary switch, you can set the fastest settings to 3 sec. With total 5 delay timers, it goes roughly like 3,7,10,13,16 in terms of seconds.

Can we do it ourself? Or do I get it done during service?

Ah of course. Intermittent wipe is the first setting when you put the lever upwards. And the inner rotary switch is on the same lever. You can choose the delay as per your wish from the above mentioned preset intervals. Not sure if we can make changes to the actual presets though. :)

Thanks much. Is it also possible to change the wiper wash liquid throw range? It's too low for my liking, the water is getting sprayed just at the bottom of the windshield

Yep, agreed. Even I'm looking for a solution for that. Can anyone guide on this? Or SC is the answer?

Ah, hope you already found a good setting for your wipers from above posts.
The nail was indeed nasty, be careful not to drive too much off the road or non tarred roads.
Regarding NVH, did you ever drive a Volkswagen P or D or a Celerio D ? Tigor noise is a baby compared to that. 3 cylinder engines are noisy and this engine from Tata is no exception.

Anshuman, what is the FE you get. last week i was driving my friend's Tiago and saw 19.5 as FE in his car. He said sometimes he gets above 21 as Average FE. Its XZ (Petrol)

At the same time, my daughter's friend also owns a tiag (no info about model and fule type) and says they get less than 12 only always.

Even though I wanted to go for Tiago or Tiger am confused about FE (not yet decided). I already suffered a lot with my sparky early days (You know all those stories) so a little bit confused.

Still i have breeza / Ford eco sport / Nexon in my list
Sethu Sir, the FE depends on driving style. But I have heard from Tigor and Tiago owners that they get anywhere between 11-16 KMPL in city conditions.
Mine being an AMT version is giving around 13-14 KMPL in city, not yet ventured out to Highways.

I would advise you to go for any of 3 models in Diesel automatic if you are planning to travel a lot.

Yes, I am sure I got the puncture on the day of delivery, when i tanked up air, the numbers were shocking mostly, 22, 18 or 26 while the PSI is 33 and 30 for the front and back respectively. I guess while using the 5 litre coupon I should have checked the trye pressure at the pump. Didn't since it was raining and I was in a hurry to reach home. Yes, I have found a good setting. Havent driven the VW P or D, but driven the Celerio P, plus my parents have a WagonR 2011 version (3 pot engine) and its fairly audible, when revved. Compared to that this is way better. On a side note the panel gaps underneath the dashboard are an eye sore, luckily my eyes do not go there much. Tata can still improve on that front. Hearing a slight noise from the left hand side mirror/door panel, will get that checked next time. Is there any speed limit I should follow for the new engine? I am doing upto 80 intermittently, read somewhere that new age engines do not need any run in as such.

There is no speed limit but usually for run in better to stick under 2500 RPM.
