^^ Yes please use the M mode and give your feedback.

Over the weekend did some shopping for our dear Tigor. Installed the following

- Art Leather Seat Covers (Got it stitched in front of me with preferred design)
- Door Visors
- Reverse Camera
- 70 VLT Garware Film (Not legal, so spent less)
- Scuff Plates/Sill Plates
- Door Guards (DIY)
- Silver Lining in Air Dam (DIY)

Wanted to get a leather steering cover buy the guy who stitches it was absent because he went to hospital.
I always prefer Fabric seat covers to Leather ones but did not find any for Tigor. I had placed order also with Elegant (the premier seat cover manufacturer ) but they could not deliver and refunded the money.

Reverse Camera - where did you fix it - on the IRVM or dashboard? How much it costs and which brand?

If possible, please provide a Screen shot.

Thanks

It is on the Dashboard , a small screen.
I will post pictures soon.

Not yet, unless Tiago/Tigor JTP variants impress me [;)].
Yes pretty true. No use of changing as both are same cars, but Tigor is with a boot.
JTP variants would be good, hope they turn out something like " Ford Fiesta S "

Anshuman I did try the 'M' mode, and if I Upshift before the arrow appears there is a beep, which was interesting, and the downshifts happened automatically, quite enjoyed it, and my wife gave me a questioning look every time it beeped.

The MID did not show a drop in AFE.

Thanks for this update.

Hope you are enjoying it. The pull in 1st gear also would be more in Manual than City mode.
MID would show increased AFE over period of time.

The reverse camera image is not clear (as you said). Anyway, how much it costs, which brand it is and whether it is fixed by Tata service guys or from outside?

I have checked here (Tata showroom) and they say that they can only provide Reverse camera fixed on IRVM which I am not preferring. [roll]

I will try to put a clear pic later. I got it from Amazon for Rs 1000 and got it fixed by a local accessories shop for Rs 300.
Same is available as Tata Genuine Part but would cost you more than Rs 5000.

See these two Youtube Videos which would give you an idea about accessories available at showroom for Tiago and Tigor.

Thanks @anshuman - one more clarification - I presume that you have fixed only reverse camera and dashboard screen and using the sensor already provided in the car???

Indeed Rs.1000 for reverse camera and the screen is very cheap comparing Rs.5000 quoting by Tata[:)]

Yes just tapped the same wire. People may shout about warranty being void but it does not make much sense.

@anshuman - one more question, how the Reverse camera fixed on the dashboard - with adhesive or made a hole on the dashboard and fixed with nut & bolt??

Wow.. Anshuman.. That is fantastic to know about one more addition in your family. Hope you have more and happier miles with this beauty.

Actually, a couple of years of years back when my freind wanted to buy car, we did some analysis and finally decided to go for Tiago. We have test driven it and finally bought Tiago for my friend. Since he was new to driving (At that time) I had taken the delivery (along with my friend's family) of the new vehicle and drove it for 50-60 KMs. It was real pleasure. Being Tigor is Sedan version of Tiago i assume it will have the same comfort and driving pleasure.

When Tigor was launched my friend also suggested me to go for this. but when my son tried Tiago he was not comfort (he is 6.2) so i might go for so SUV types like Eco Sport, Breeza kind

Just pasted with adhesive like Ganesha or other Idols. No drilling.

Thanks Sir.

Over the weekend Tigor went for first service, err.. Checkup , they hardly did anything checked if everything was working good, gave dry wash (no more water wash in Bangalore due to stupid NGT rules) and gave back after an hour and half.
Total = Rs 0.

Also bought extended warranty for additional 2 years upto 100000 KM.

TASS (Prerana Motors) has become lousier than before had to go there because its dealer managed. More TASC are required in big cities rather than only dealer managed workshops.

Many congratulations on your new car. That's a wonderful choice! Wishing you many happy miles with smiles on your car!

Assuming you have driven recent Maruti AMTs, just curious to know how will you compare the AMT on recent Tatas with that on Maruti 1.2 petrols?

Cheers!
