I checked casually with my dealer they have two Tigor XZA (colour to be confirmed) in stock , else they said 10 days waiting (which they said when I bought as well).
Thanks for the information.

10 days waiting is normal. My dealer also told me 12 days waiting and now 20 days after they still unable confirm a date (I know Onam festival season here, hence there may be more demand, but when they say there is no stock even in the plant is somewhat taking me to surprise) [surprise]

Yes that is surprise. The situation at Kerela being grave I doubt everybody would be willing to buy cars now. So there might be cancellations
If you have the booking number call Tata Motors and check.

Further to above, I just got a call from Tata Motors (customer care Team), Pune asking the problem. I have explained to him and the way he was talking seems that he is unaware of any such shortage of XZA[surprise] (also received a email reply from them)

Anyway, he promised that he will talk to the dealer tomorrow and revert back to me.

Like Renault yard in Kochi was all under water (your post in another thread), whether Tata dealers also facing similar situations and as such he don't have a car ready for delivery[confused] - I have to be very careful..

One clarification (do not remember, if anyone already explained about):

How about the OEM Headlamps?

Is the light power is good enough or do we have to change (I have changed the headlamps of my Alto K10 to Phillips extreme vision even before delivery as I know those lights were not good enough).

Nowadays, we can see most of the people always upgrade the headlamps with very powerful LED's which sometime blind others whose car headlights are just normal.

Also, invite opinions from other Tata/Tigor owners here - thanks

^^ Since you have top end model with projectors it has dual headlamps ie dedicated lamps for high and low beam. That with combination of fog lamps gives adequate throw of light during night drive. However since you are in smaller town and if road lights are not proper in night try for few days and then can think of upgrade after 1st service.

Observed a phenomenon with AC switch of my Tigor over last two months.
If the re-circulation mode is on and if the blower is turned on, the AC becomes on automatically. But this does not happen always. It only happens after overnight the car is idle.
Note - I always switch off AC button when i turn off the engine, the re-circulation switch is always on.
Is this normal behavior for Tigor?
Not sure what has changed, but since last couple of days, I'm not observing this behavior with ac. It is in off state in the morning, when I start the car.

The Tigor has run around 2000 KM till now, low running due to other cars present in house. Mileage as per MID has settled around 16-17 KMPL in city now.

The second service is due later this month. What all checks are done in same? I hope the Engine Oil is not changed in second service.

And here it is. As per last fuel top up. AC usage around 50%-75% of time.
This is nice. With actual figure less than around 2 kms from mid reading, still FE around 15 is really good for a heavy traffic like Banglore. [:)]

Mine has also started to touch 15-16 (in mid) too in heavy traffic here in Pune. So actual figures would be around 13-14. Hopefully it'll improve further. Running is >2k.

Well, the car went for 2nd service this week and it was completed in couple of hours.
Nothing exciting, all usual check ups, cleaning and dry wash and car was handed over back to me. SA was amazed seeing low mileage but I clarified having other cars in house this has limited run.
Bill was Rs 200 for consumables (seemed to be more like target for SA).

Discussed about P2P and Gold AMC, have to finalize one soon.
Confused between two and also for 2/3 years duration.

Took some pictures will post later.

Yesterday, I got a call from my dealer office asking about extra warranty. Told her that I have already got a quote from the service centre guy when I took my car there on the 9th of this month for the 1st Service, but will go for it in a few days time. In reply, she told me that I should buy it within 90 days of purchase otherwise the package price will be more.

The Service guy gave me a quote of Rs.5300 for 4 years or 45000kms (P2P). Is that correct that prices will go up if I don't opt for it within 90 days of vehicle purchase?

That is correct sir. Prices go up after 90 days of purchase . But that is applicable for EW , I am not sure if same is for P2P.

I discussed earlier the Gold AMC prices (Tigor P) for 2 year and 3 year are quoted as 9040 and 17630 respectively.

Yes P2P (Tigor P) for 3 years and 4 years are respectively 5299 and 6599.
