^^Might be Nitin, read this..

Yep, hybrid Nokia X runs Android -- but not as you know it (hands-on)

BARCELONA, Spain -- Take a moment to mentally collect all your visions of firing up a Nokia device to scan Google Now, launch Google Maps directions with your voice, and rent Google Play content. Now throw them all away.

The new Nokia X, X+, and XL smartphones that Nokia unveiled here at Mobile World Congress 2014 technically do run on Android, just as the leaks and rumors promised -- and that means, you'll be able to load up Android apps with ease. However, this X and family don't turn in the full 'Droid experience that you think. In fact, the software doesn't look a thing like Android at all.

but they are doing no favor to themselves and nokia fans by making this piece of junk in 2014
Maybe clearing their EOL hardware by attracting the so called "noob" crowd.

To start with they dont have the G apps integration. All services are their MS alternatives or rather substitutes.

the only positive maybe the capability to run apks as the droid..

If that will be of any significance for the type of hardware brought along with it, will have to be seen in future.

Motorola took some time to answer quite a few questions on Twitter today, and there were some very interesting answers to various questions regarding the expanded release of the Moto X and Moto Maker, as well as a bit of insight into what to expect from the company once it is officially acquired by Lenovo.

On the topic of the Moto X, we already heard that the follow-up to the Moto X is planned for late summer, but before that the current Moto X is going to continue its expansion into new territories. According to Motorola, the Moto X will be launching in India and Australia in the "next few weeks"; and, the Moto Maker customization options are expanding just as we expected. Motorola says that in Q2 of this year, Moto Maker will be made available in western Europe and Mexico.

Obviously, Motorola couldn't be too forthcoming in terms of the Lenovo deal, but it did clear up a few questions that we have had. First off, Motorola is going to continue focusing on Android, even after the acquisition, because otherwise Motorola would "have to compromise if we spread across ecosystems." It also mentioned the "big opportunity" in China with its "partner" Lenovo.

Maybe most telling of all, Motorola was asked about selling "high priced" devices, to which it responded: "Great smart phones should be available to everyone & days of $600 phones are limited." It should be noted that neither the question, nor the response made mention of "high-end" or "high spec" devices, but rather specifically on "high priced" handsets. Maybe Motorola will be continuing with the Moto X pricing as is.

HP has released press images of its two new Slate devices which will be officially announced later today.

The HP Slate 6 is a 6-inch phablet with a 1280 x 720 IPS display. A 5-megapixel camera is on the rear, while the front sports a 2-megapixel snapper.

The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab is more of a tablet device, with a 7-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display. It too comes with a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and 2-megapixel front-facing cam. Both devices come with front-facing stereo speakers too.

They are also thin devices with the Slate 6 having just less than a 9mm waistline, while the Slate 7 is 9.5mm thick. And they both come packed with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Unfortunately, those who were looking to give these a spin in the UK or US will have to wait a bit longer as they are heading to India first for a February release.

Speaking to Re/code during the recent CES trade show in Las Vegas, HP VP for the consumer PC business, Ron Coughlin, said that although there might be an opportunity to release the devices elsewhere, the company is focusing on India initially.

"I won’t say where or when, but you can expect us to do more in the coming months. We'll be talking about this in a more expansive way. But right now we’re focused on a successful launch in India," he said.

Looking to buy the G. Just wanna know whether all the manufacturing defects like light bleed and display spots have been sorted out. Also worried bout the fact that Fk sells refurbished/returned phones.

OT: I wanna sell my N8. Good condition with box and all accessories intact. How much do you reckon it'll sell for?

this is the right time to get the moto g under exchange policy as your N8 is listed under exchange models.
