Fords big gun has a ballistic shot at Toyota Fortuner, this pricing is really outstanding, I was expecting 30+ lakhs and frankly the pricing is shockingly good

The On road prices will be between 4.4-4.9 lakhs extra from ex showroom prices, and even in such guise the new Endy happily trounces the current gen Fortuner and will trounce the upcoming Fortuner as well since the 2017 Fortuner is going to be priced more than the current one by at least 2 laksh more
On road prices will be more or less in this range

Thing to be noted is, prices are for Ex-showroom, Mumbai (Including octroi) so it is bound to be cheaper in other parts of country.
What I found funny is, they have compared prices of Endeavour 2.2 with Fortuner 3.0 and not Fortuner 2.5.
Only Fortuner 3.0 4x4 A/T is compared with Endeavour 3.2 4x4 A/T but again its Endeavour in Trend variant.
Instead of comparing with direct competition on unfair terms, they should have left the job for others to do that and just announce the prices in isolation.

New Fortuner's launch is expected in 2017 as per ACI so its Endeavour's playground till then at least.

Yes, and that answers my curiosity too, why have they mentioned prices of Ex-Mumbai instead of usual Ex-Delhi.

Visited Bhavna Ford at Nerul. 3.2 LTitanium 4x4 AT on display in red colour.

New Fortuner will be out only by 2017, but the nee Tiguan from VW which too is a 7 seater might get launched by November 2016, thats a very promising SUV and is one that might even knock the new Endy out of its glory.
But none has promised Indian launch except for X- Trail Hybrid , so time will tell how they are gonna pack the segment, as of now, its the Endeavors playground, if Ford is wise they will sell as much as possible before competition sprouts up, because with Japanese competition at hand nobody will turn to Ford, people are always biased to Japanese products how ever good or bad they are, so lets see how Ford deals with customers with Endeavor![[glasses]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Glasses.gif "Glasses [glasses]")
