Isn't Bit Ten an Sound Processor? Actually i don't want a sound processor. I want an active crossover through which i will power my Rainbow active. I thought people go for Bit Ten he they wanted to retain OEM HU and when these OEM HU are low on SQ they use Bit Ten to manipulate the signals.

If i go for the Infinity Kappa subwoofer will my setup sound very differently? What will happen if i play both my Focal sub and infinity sub together? What is a wave cancellation?

I plan to slowly remove my focal P-30 sub and move to 2 infinity subwoofer. But due to budget i will only upgrade in a step by step process. First i will buy one infinity sub for now then after 2-3 months replace the focal sub to infinity as well. I want to know during these upgrade period for 2-3 months facl sub and infinity sub would play together. How different will be the sound signature?

Regards,
Sankar
An active setup is when we have a dedicated amp channel for each driver in the system, i.e., tweeters and mid-bass have own dedicated channel. Now, the XOs you have mentioned, though good would not and can not exceed the SQ outcome from Bit 10D. Once you pass the signals from bit 10, just get them flattened using a laptop and get the freq. curve as flat as possible (a tuner with knowledge of Bit 10 can do this). Then feed your drivers with the o/p signal from the Bit 10. Hear for yourselves and might be you'd be thanking me (just kidding [:D]).

Regarding subs, I am not sure how they would sound together(good or bad) but each sub has a different sound signature and for this very reasons all setups that have multiple subs always go for same subs. Hope you have got what I mean.

I still don't get it. Bit ten is used in case of OEM hu only right? For my hu which has good sq output will I need a sound processor instead of a crossover?

When wanting SQ from OEM, a sound processor almost becomes a must. But it is not like it shall work only with OEM HUs. Understand the purpose of a processor. It smooth-ens the signal, and works with any source. When adding such a processor to an already nice HU, the o/p shall even be better. Go with components that your heart and mind approve and what someone suggests, after-all it's your hard earned money.

Just curious, how much have you spend on your car till now, including the OTR price of the car?

My car OTR price came around 6.7L and I have spend nearly 1.5L on all accessories.

Once I install Bit 10 how should it be tuned? My installer is not familiar with bit ten I guess.

Bit 10 is tuned via S/W by connecting it to a PC. If the tuner is not aware of it they simply stay away from it. It's a complex piece and if not tuned perfectly is worthless.

Just to make you want it more and more [;)]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BY3GNjqOZc

Yes a Bit 10 should be around 20K but I was speaking of Bit 10 D. For how much are you getting the active XOs for?
