That is nice. Do you know if they have it in beige colour? I would like one for my Getz because the armrest is sorely missed in the Getz more than the Polo (I don't know why that is).

Vipin
You can get the beige arm rest from ebay http://www.ebay.in/itm/271246399275 . Its the same armrest and its my listing so don't worry about quality or delivery time [:)]

Why are crossovers are sticked outside the door pads.
I made the same mistake of installing crossovers on the door pad and ended up regretting it. I got it removed and the holes that were drilled were closed with putty and the entire panel was repainted.

Will this fit in a Polo? :)

Why did you remove the crossovers then? Can you explain?

No reason as such. I installed it in the door thinking I would be doing regular adjustments with it and also because I didn't want it to get wet in case rain water seeped in through the windows. But it used to stick out like a sore thumb in the beige panel and many people (especially the elders in the family) kept asking me what it was and fiddle with it. And the wires used to stick out like a sore thumb. And also, we had plans in between to sell the Getz (but that changed because dad said we'll use it as a second car). That was the reason I removed it from there.

In my case wires are not too exposed and are wired properly and as interiors are black it looks good actually. Also I can show off to friends that I own rainbow audio components[lol]

Oh ok. Thanks Sunny. I will be ordering atleast one pretty soon. First for the Getz and, if I am happy with it, one for the Polo as well.

Vipin
Do whatever you want with Hyundai but please don't install aftermarket armrest in polo. You would end up with several holes in the side of cupholder, like what happened after installing the xovers in the doorpad. Rather get an OE armrest from higher models of VW, and get it installed.

Vivek the cost of VW armrest costs 15000 and while the after market ones cost 10 times less with adequate quality. Probably why no one buying them from VW dealers.

Actually i have personally seen the aftermarket armrest, that is why not supporting them. Its any day better to go for the OE. Regarding the price i would recommend Vipin to check outside vendors to get it cheap.

Aftermarket armrest use simple plastic everywhere for the installation whereas OE comes with proper parts like metal base and all, which gives proper support to the armrest in case of heavy weight. I usually rest my whole of weight while entering/making myself comfy.

I think the Armrest you may have seen is of some cheap quality with the plastic base and all. The one I am selling comes with the metal base which is solid and can withstand a fair amount of weight as stated by SankarNarayan above. Aarish Ghaswala is also using the same armrest in his WagonR stated in this thread http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...07-lxi-minor-diys-tachometer-armrest-etc.html .

Also, while purchasing from ebay you have the ebay guarantee and if you don't like the item you can return it anytime and get the refund. BTW, I have also added COD option in the listing.

Sorry to say buddy, whatever its quality is but i am not convinced with the pics. Didn't find any metal base. One more thing it can't compete any OE armrest and i was simply suggesting Vipin to have OE. No offences for your product.

Posting some pics of OE armrest in my punto.

As of now my armrest has no issues taking up my whole weight. An OE armrest cost 15k while an aftermarket one costs 1.5k. Even if aftermarket one is only durable for a year (which i seriously doubt, have seen my friend using his armrest in Vista for more than 2 years now) and you replace the armrest every year regularly and plan to use the car for 5 years the cost still comes at 7500INR which still is half the price of OE armrest. No point going for such overpriced products. Also no accessories shop will stock these armrests as people will never buy them considering how less other armrest costs and might not sell well.

Buddy i am just suggesting Vipin to have OE armrest and i think armrest is not about cost, its about the comfort it provides. When i bought mine aftermarket armrest were there at dirt cheap prices just like now. But i just went in for the reliable product, that is what i am suggesting Vipin as simple as that. Not only i am talking about your armrest, but all of the aftermarket ones are the same.

Vipin why don't you check some other car's OE armrest and see if it is feasible to install that in your polo.

I think he had already looked at OE armrest for his Polo. I have a friend working in VW as IT support. Will ask if he can source one as i heard from him VW doesn't control the prices of accessories provided by their dealers and cost of accessories are increased by atleast 8-10 times. He came to know of this after he took delivery of his Jetta.

Sankar
