Ram sir. You got the FIR copy? Police should provide the FIR copy immediately without investigation as told the court recently.

@AR RAM:
Sorry to hear that and it looks like your front door and fender also had a minor escape.

See buddy since you have got a zero dep insurance, then better you get it changed taking a hit on your NCB. The fact is that if the bus is amongst the regular pliers of the route then police is not going to do anything. The attitude of driver also shows the same. The owner of the bus maybe knowing each and every SO on the route where the bus plies and he won't do anything except a phone call and setting with the police and your case will be left pending. You will be spending more money than the repair costs in follow ups with police and court and all but it will all go in vain after 2-3 years that's it.
Instead if I'd been at your place, I'd have settled the case there itself using my right hand, sorry to mods for promoting such activities but one slap from your side would have told the driver in a second that you are not going to sit and watch him going and it also would have given him a lesson.

We are with you. Do not loose patience. Must follow it up.
Thank you Mathew, I will wait for the response then send a reminder . This morning I left the car at the service station. Probably by Saturday I can take delivery, as some painting touch up also has to be done.

I collected the case acknowledgement copy, mentioning the incidents happened. And this will be sufficient to initiate for the insurance claim, since no injury happened to either parties. Once my car work is over, I will be mentally free and can collect the FIR copy.

Thank you TSIVipul. Yes I left the vehicle already for the job.

What you mentioned about the operators is absolutely correct. Now a days the authorities can't go deaf against the complaints of a common man, because everything is online and media is very powerful. Let's wait and see, anyway I am not going to spend any money on this.

Even though my heart agrees with you mind stops for such an action, because
- Not everyone is physicallly as strong to do that as other person may retaliate.
- Generally such bus drivers/cab drivers have their cleaners and extra ppl so that can lead to a big fight. Who wants an extra physical damage [frustration].
- If we are with family we have no option but to be calm.

all a common man can do is to try and be dependant on legal channels, unless you are with a group of friends or some strong connections[;)]

Though these guys deserve this, but end of the day showing muscle power will result nothing other than retaliation. Let's not take the law into our hands, fight legally, and definitely every painful story will have successful ending.

It is good that you have already written to Transport dept. Need to ensure that this is brought into the notice of Mr. Rishi Raj Singh either through twitter or facebook. Also attach a link to this thread.

Hi Ram,

Sorry to see the state of your rear view mirror. That bus was just a couple of inches from your car. Lucky he didn't dent your door. Boy! that was scarey just to see the picture. Hope you get back on the road soon.

Thank you HR

In fact the bus was hardly an inch from my car. At least he stopped the bus just a second before.

So sorry about the car, but well for for having the presence of mind to take such good pics. I think you were lucky in that the service people came to your aid so quickly.

Thank you JOHNLORD. This happened very near to the SASS at Mannuthy, Thrissur. So within minutes they arrived and were helping me to finish all the formalities.

Sorry for the bad incident Sir !! As i am from Coimbatore i will be making frequent trips to kerala for temple visits and for business. Every time i do such a trip to kerala i will notice that the private buses and these omni buses will drive reckless as if they own the road. They stop whenever they want to without signalling the drivers behind them on roads. In many such circumstance i used to escape the damage of my car in fraction of inches. I need to appreciate you sir for logging the complaint and bringing this incident in TAI as everyone should know how these morons behave. Hope you will feel better soon Sir.
