Just within 9 days you got justice, Its really not too late.[clap]
I appreciate the effort you put forward to make it possible. Most of the people will hesitate to go behind it.

Well said Smooth Rider.
This is the main reason which tempts people to violate rules and regulations, here the penalty amounts are really really CHEAP. Even most of the school going children can afford these MVD penalties.
IMO, present fine amounts should be raised to 10 times of the amount [roll]

Instead of giving more importance to the seatbelts and helmets(yes, they are important and i do my part) more importance must be given to changing the lanes especially in turns, and all the ziggzaggers must me charged.

Congratulations Sir, I must say thats is a quick response than most of us anticipated.

By this thread and action you have set an example that we can take legal action against such morons and fighting on the scene is not the only option. Common sense and smartness can bring the culprit to disciplinary action.

That volvo driver would never have emagined this and for sure because of you damage to some more cars is saved, as that moron will think twice before doing so in future.

Thanks a lot for this thread.

Thanks for the pictures, I think they are becoming more notorious.

Finally its a happy story ! So did you get to see him ? They could have asked the driver to apologize for the mistake done. So is the car ready ?
Thank you Varun. I was in Coimbatore when they called me, and I told them whatever penalty he needed to pay, let him pay and go. There is no point in spending another Rs 1000/- for fuel just to hear a sorry from him. Yes, car is ready.

this is the fellow that hit you right.
spotted near my college(coimbatore) on Saturday

Yes, that's the same bus, really a fantastic capture. Thanks for uploading.

1000 times true sir. Some times even we make mistakes. If the mistake is from our side if we apologize am sure the situation at that place would get lighter.

But people like this will always blame us and make sure our BP is shoot up.

Once I was driving my M800 (early days of my car driving) I was going slow in a crowded road and an auto driver was honking behind me continuously and I could n't give him way because of the width of the road. But once he got way, he came before me and started cursing me like anything without even thinking the problem I had. I also shouted back like anything. Since I was with family and the entire road got blocked i have to get back to the car.

Sir, its great to know that sir. Justice can be delayed but may not be denied. Good.

Ha ha. Sai you should have punched on his face on behalf of TAI.
Thank you sethu for your words

Thank you kichu, my efforts have not gone into waste at least. I think there is a limitation of fine charged by the cops, beyond that it has to be in the court.

Thank you parth1231. Once they accept a complaint in the PS they have to take some action, else they will be answerable. And today everything is online and much easy also. Make sure there are photographs to support the complaint.

Yes, the driver would not have anticipated, he might have thought that he can just get away as usual. Hope he will remember this at least for few days.

Sir

I am happy that you didn't let it go and went to the police with the complaint. These arrogant bus drivers need to be taught a lesson. And it is not bus drivers alone. The people in Kallada need to be taught too that they cannot get away with goondaism and rude behaviour.
Today, I had a very close shave with Parbeen Travels, another operator who runs Mercedes contract carriages in Kerala. The bus, which was coming from the opposite side, partly in his lane and partly in mine, came so close to my car (which I had stopped in my lane due to traffic in front and behind me) that I thought he would have hit my rear right passenger side. But luckily at the exact moment the truck in front of me moved and I could steer clear. If that truck hadn't moved, I would have been looking at a huge dent on my door. This happened near Neyattinkara, Trivandrum.
I really wish Rishi Raj Singh does something about these operators and drivers who are proving to be a menace to road users like you and me. The way these people drive on the highway (even when there is traffic, they do speeds close to 100 km/h) is quite scary.

Ram Sir,

Sorry it to hear about your ordeal. Is he bus plying the route Trivandrum - Mysore? If yes then this very same bus had broken my right side mirror also. In my case Police officers didn't even register a case and threatened me saying my car has illegal mods and i will be fined if i did decide to proceed with the case. Since i already had given the people at Kallada's office some nice sentence lined with beautiful words i didn't bother to go after the case.

Regards,
Sankar
Sankar. I am shocked to hear that the same thing had happened to you. Which station did you go to lodge the complaint? And what are these "illegal mods" that you have done to your car? Unbelievable that all this happens in India. [frustration] [frustration]

My god. Sorry about the incident Shankar.

BTW, now a days, out of 10 cops, 2 are good, rest of like this only. How dare he can give a public statement like this. I wish, you should have recorded this in your mobile (at-least the voice)

Sethu sir

You are right. 2 out of 10 cops are good. The rest go to the gutters. I wish we had more powers as citizens to do something about this lack of injustice. I know there is power and corruption in every country in the world but it is really bad in developing countries and that is very apparent here. Most of the people tend to not get the police involved because they probably will end up paying more to the police than to the A.S.S (BUT there are good cops too and thankfully, I've come across a number of good cops here).

Vipin

Thank you Vipin. Justice may be delayed but can't be denied. That's what happened in my case, at least to some extend. I think Mr commissioner's next target will be these drivers who are a big havoc on the highways. But people who are traveling frequently to other states will have this threat. The best way to control them is the interference of supreme court, like the implementation of ban on sun control films.

Glad to hear about the driver being caught and actions taken against him.Whatever extent it happened but it surely did happened and is being appreciated. This is the starting where slowly but steadily when the noise is made it does make the effect of taking actions.

Kazhakootam Police Station. I first contact highway police who inturn said they will take action only if i lodge a complaint with Kazhakootam Police Station. When i went there they said my car has lots of illegal mods and should be fined too. As i went there after 7pm they noticed by powerful headlights, fog lamps, my music system, dual horns and blackened roof. Don't know how they found these many things in 15 minutes[frustration]

Am sharing one of my friend's FB status which shows that not only in India even in Malaysia we have such negligent drivers. I used to think people there in Malaysia kind of countries are very responsible and very disciplined.

Others are understood, but what's with Music System and Blackened Roof? Just wondering [confused]
My music system is a bit visible from outside with rear component speakers visible as its placed in tray. And i had to show them the broken mirror which i had placed in boot. The amplifiers are arranged in a attractive amplifier rack with some good leds. The constable accompanying me might have noticed this. ALso black roof is clearly visible even at night with low light conditions too. Since i am using 130/100w bulbs they already had something against me. Underbody neons were also noticed.

Hope i have cleared your confusion.

Sankar - Thanks for the details. But what I still don't get is, upgrading ICE an illegal mod? Likewise, the black roof. I understand if the whole body color was changed, but just roof? Again, underbody neons shouldn't be a concern as well, though the headlight is for sure.

Ram Sir - Sorry for going OT. Hope will close it in next post. :agree:
