1. I have fabricated the high beam assists mounts. they'll use the roof rack mounting channels. no holes will be drilled in the car. I'm waiting for paint to dry. they'll be mounted tomorrow.

the trigger will be taken from high beam relay.

2. I've found neat automatic drl sensors on aliexpress. perhaps they're the ticket to brighter drls.

The cheetah got an injured paw. Very slow air leakage from Driver Front wheel.
It takes about 3 weeks from 32 PSI to 22 PSI. Putting up spare wheel for now.

Does anyone know if Proper AT tyres are available in 235/65/ R17?

Taken out the wheel. Wet it. Find out the source of leak. Fix the puncture. Been there done that. More than a couple of times

Mayank,I'm not worried about fixing punctures. I've already fixed 4 times. I'm just hunting about good AT TYRES so I May replace these.

How has the thunderbolt doing? Long time there has been no update. Wanted to have a look at the roof mounted lights.

Pardon me,
Could'nt devote any time to the vehicle.

Everything Else is fine but driver side AC is not working (Blows hot air).
The vehicle starts in single cranck after weeks of sleep.

Thunderbolt made a 700KM Trip to Indore.

Here are the Updates-
1>Hardly any Speed breakers in MP & roads are overall better in MP now.
Maharashtra even 4 lanes have potholes, and worse of all a few Unmarked speedbreakers that cause heavy braking.

2> Many new tolls have come up.

3> The Faulty AC made things worse. Parked car temps went up to 50.c (You can't even touch anything inside the car, We had to crank the car and let AC run at full blast for 5 min before sitting in.)

The AC only works when rear Button is engaged. and even then, Driver side Vents don;t get any cooling. I guess I need a dedicated visit to SVC for this [frustration]

4> The vehicle hesitates to Cross 160. That was the most I touched. I don't know if that's me, but Acceleration seems to be affected somehow. There were 4 people in car with minimal luggage. I've got Full service done just 5k Kms earlier.'
'
5> The FE as per MID was between 10.8 to 11.2 KMPL

6> HID headlamps fantastic as always.

7> To beat the terrible summer heat we crammed towels on window. The Indian Jugaad for sunfilms[evil]

8> First time ever I suffered such terrible heat in Indore. The blast felt like sitting in damm oven. Even the temps at night were too high.

9> Thinking to remove Roof rack as it has never been used in 3 years.

10> Tyres Surprisingly holding up well. ODO at 54k kms.

11> Infotainment Restarted 2 times during 700kms.

12> We carried 4 small subwoofers this time. (one each on Respective 4ch AMP). The sound was pure Bliss.

Wouldnt it be better if you took the vehicle to a dedicated AC mechanic rather than the svc?

Kinshuk, I never Skip the SVC, and I anyways paid up for the warranty, so as well lets use it!. It appears to be something like Software glitch or Electronic Glitch rather than anything Mechanical.

The Driver side is not getting cooling, I guess there are electronic valves that direct Hot/cool fluids to towards the heat exchangers inside cabins aren;t working or have been disconnected. I just hope Its not anything big like the front compressor (XUV has 2 channel compressor?) or something!.

My only qualm is that I need to waste a day and visit Nashik just for the SVC.

Edit- I found something when I was searching about XUV AC, This is from the Online forums-

In XUV-5OO, 3rd Row has a separate compressor, it is not linked to Climate control system, the temperature cannot be regulated. This is similar for most large Utility Vehicles. In some vehicles like Innova and Fortuner, both second and Third row are linked to the second A/C compressor, the temperature for these rows cannot be controlled through ACC module.

So at times when my XUV is parked in sun on a hot sunny day, to get the cabin cooled fast i used both the compressors, it helps in cooling the cabin a lot faster. XUV clearly has one of the strongest Air conditioning systems in the market.
So, My gut feeling was correct that one of the compressors is not working well or has gone into Misfiring/ Electronic Glitch.

Yeah I forgot you had paid for the extended warranty. Better to go to the SVC.
