Cheetah has suffered multiple injuries in 2 paws. The navigator side of vehicle has suffered. :'(:-(

the navigator front has 2-3 visible punctures (nails and thorns) and navigator rear still has unconfirmed punctures but is slowly loosing air overnight.

nah nah!
just paws (tyres) are punctured. perhaps the vehicle went over a briar patch when dad was driving. I have opened the tyres and placed them aside. they'll be sent to nearby city whenever possible.

some punctures are due to very thick nails, I'll have to be careful fixing them.

I am pleased to Report that, The club Mahindra Folks have extended the Validity of my Holiday voucher. However, I am not being given a new voucher or some sort of screen print to proove it. The person said that he has entered the date into his Computer. Please guide me on this folks! I have shot an email regarding the same.

Now, as promised The pics![evil]
These are some links to my instrutables account, Please don't Mind folks. Running outta Time and Internet Balance!

PICS are taken in MANUAL mode(Same settings and on Tripod). if you feel that the LED Pics are TOO bright, Thats because They're! You can drive with these LEDs alone and keep headlights off. No Problem.

Head over to Blaze N Bright - LEDs for your SUV/Car/Auto or Home.BUY LED INDIA to buy such LEDs.
Hey, This website link doesnt seem to work.
I need to beef up the lighting for my XUV 500. is there any other link or do any one know of another vendor?
LED is awesome!

the cheetah got it paws bandaged yesterday.

there were 3 punctures in each tyre. mostly thick thorns and nails. punctures were repaired with hot method and patch from inside as well. it's the permanent method as I always prefer.

tyres were unmounted and sent to nearby city for the same.

repair charges were 2k total.

Hey bhvm,

I am looking forward to install HID for high, low as well as fog lamps so I want you ask a few questions :-
1. is it appropriate to install HID for high beams because as far as I know HID transmits light after heating up a bit so will it be useful to dippers at night?
2 If not HID for high what other options do I have?

PS: I don't want to opt for LED.

Thanks

1> Its never recommended to install HID in High beams. Not only HID takes time to warm up, You'll kill the bulbs very soon due to constant bashing On-Off-On. Its very hard on the electrodes.

Thanks a lot for quick response. I have some more questions

1. If i install 6000k HID on the low beam and fog lights what should I use for high beams to match up the colour shade.

I can not install high beam assists due to some reasons so just want to match the colour of high beams with the best option available if not with HID.

2. Which brand would you suggest for 6000k HID?

Thanks

I will absolutely never suggest anyone 6000k HIDs. Go 4300k.
Reasons mentioned in above review Link.

you can go for Philips diamond vision that provides a Little whiter light, close to 4300k hid.

other option would be to install 100w high beams and add a relay. however they'll be painful and heat would fade the reflectors.

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Audio, LED, HID, Mods++)

odo- 52k kms

1. just made a 300 km run to nearby city. mix of highway & city drive. speeds between 60-90 on highway. FE as per MID- 13.8 kmpl

2. does anyone believe that xuv can climb ghats on idle rpm at 2nd gear? now I do. the revs were just 800-900 rpm and engine pulled cleanly. there's no lag when I needed to revv up. just stomp the pedal and you have ample power to overtake.

3. AC started acting weird during one of the city runs. passenger side vents were working correctly. however, driver side vents were throwing hot/ un cooled air. no amount of controls or fiddling helped. I also checked thefm fuses.
the problem went away by evening after parking the car for sometime. I'll have to check this in sun once again.

4. there's very poor bass when playing music via cd. I've raised bass in music settings and also set eq to rock. not satisfactory.

5. tmps is throwing tantrums 'FL TYRE SWAPPED' does it needs 're learning?

6. service due alert has come up again.
