Looks good and rich product but better try out on some purse or belt etc before putting up on the costly Italian leather of xuv.Is it costly? Looks so in the ads.Only requirement is 1)must not stain.2)must not be sticky and oily.

Factory Projector Bulb.

I see its an Philips DOT certified. Not bad for OE.
It seems philips blue halogen bulbs have less life.

My collegue has replaced 2 nos (blue vision 90/100W) in his 6 month old punto within 14K km. daily we used this bulbs only around 50-60km night journey. Single bulb costed here around rs.550.

Guys!
I today tried something entirely different!
We have been paring our Phones to XUV HU for music and Phone. Today I paried a LAPTOP to it. And it worked!. I was able to play music flawlessly and quality was great too. I shows up a "Mahindra BT headset" wow.

Mayank,
I tried the Lotion on a Lether belt and nothing much happened. This is both a Good and bad thing, because its not giving the sheen that i expected. Anyways I'll try it on XUV seats this sunday and report back.

The Life of blue tinted bulbs is always short, and for a good reason. The Tint takes away some of the output (Lumens). To bring back to lumens, Manufacturers have to ty various tricks like making the filament burn hotter etc, result is poor life.
And 550 for a stupid Incan bulb? Man thats cheating. I brought HID kit for 3.5k only. Much less power consumption and MUCH higher output. Details on my Blue Boy i10 thread

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

small update-
the thunderbolt made a few trips to nearby cities and conquered all types of terrain including slick highways and no roads (surat deathway )

the odo stands at 36k. top speed for last run was 165 kmph , FE 12.5 on mid (Means about 12 in real world ).
no problems other than noise in suspension.

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

thunderbolt returned yesterday from a mostly uneventful journey. dirty but in perfect shape.
here are my observations-
1. combined 2400 km fuel efficiency is 12 kmpl via tank method.

2. fully driven by dad including some long 600km a day runs.

3. HU still resets /pops out occasionally.

4. GPS failed to catch many Interior towns in rajasthan. it's time for some update.

5. new HID Fog bulbs are helluva bright and dad used them instead of low beams at low speeds. the white HID fogs with white LED Drl made the beast look very stunning.

some new facelift of xuv is being launched-

Any idea how much would OEM mud flaps cost ? Some 2 wheeler has rubbed against my XUV when parked [anger]. Got a deep scratch on fuel lid, panel and broken mud flaps. Gotta get it painted. But mud flaps need a change immediately.

that's sad to hear bro! these bikers are the curse of roads!
I'm afraid I don't know the prices. however I DIY'd some wider mud flaps and it totally solved the mud and cowdung spray problems! will come upload pics soon.

I would not say "Bikers are curse", even I love biking [:D]. But I curse everyone who ride or drive irresponsibly !!

Waiting for the snaps , if that works well then even I will probably do the same.

OEM look alike mud flaps are around 800 on eBay.

get those oem type ones. it's pretty cheap at 800 for a 16 lac vehicle. heck! get certified ones from Mahindra. my mud flap is a add on on the factory ones and offer more protection. I forgot the pics again today. will do it soon.

I didn't tell they are expensive. [:)] I will get from Mahindra itself, just wanted to see your DIY if it can avoid slush splashing.

100 percent mud splash is solved by my DIY. the urgent concern was cowdung spray on the 2nd row doors. eww! I'm happy now!.

but for the DIY you'll need factory much flaps as base mount. just buy originals.
