Okay,
I had a lengthy Discussion with Mahindra Mumbai CSC, And frankly not satisfied.

1) As I said the infotainment issue were not fixed since 2 years now and 4 parts have already been replaced,I was shocked to hear that the parts installed were Probably 'Refurbished' and hence problem repeated again and again.[frustration]. As many of you know, I have wasted a great deal of time and fuel (Total 2.5 K KMS) for getting these REFURBISHED parts installed and suffering again. This is a poor show on Mahindra's part !

They will be ordering 'NEW' parts to install in my vehicle.

2) I fought that as problem has been continuing since 2 years, I may get a free of cost extended warranty incase Mahindra is incapable of clearing out the Faults and they trouble me past the warranty period.

I got a Plain 'NO' for the answer.

3) About the clutch I was said that it's not a part of recall (Although many websites have shown it its a well-known issue) and you can have faith in Mahindra that problem will not re-occur.

@bhvm: did you tell the Mahindra Customer Care that you want to talk to someone senior? mildly threaten them, and see if their attitude changes. I am messaging to Mr. Anand Mahindra and Mahindra Customer Care on the same; shall seek someone senior to talk to you.

Had a 600KM one day trip With Thunderbolt.
The Low beam Bulb fused just minutes after we started. So Whole Trip was one Low beam and 2 Fogs. LED high beams sure did help if required. No other niggles. Suspension makes sound (Pump-Pump) when going over speedbreakers, Which was not present earlier.

Replacing the Low beam bulb requires loosening the Headlight and dismantling Coolant resiorvior.

Hmm, Its becoming common to hear that someone's XUV's low beam projector is fused [frustration] Anyways good to see Thunderbolt running well. I hope you don't mind but can i post a photo of the fused projector on with the other one. I would like to see it in real life. Regarding the suspension, looks like you have something loose. Check out the underbody and make sure everything is in place.

sure you can post photos as you deem fit.

the problem with projector or any xuv bulb is dismantling things just to change bulb. definitely impossible on the run. I had to undo the front grille too.

other problem with projector is that the oem bulbs are Philips blue vision. the blue coated bulbs which anyways have poor life compared to clear ones. left bulb fused last year and right one fused now (2yr ).

company has provided osram clear replacements which are working well. I maybe getting an hid kit soon. the low beams are piss poor for such a huge vehicle.

Ha ha. no issues. the projector isn't damaged in anyway. it just accepts a normal halogen h7 55w bulb. it's the bulbs that go bad. reason for particularly low life of low beam is

1) projector is always ON regardless of high beams or fog use.

2) low beams are tied to various auto systems and sensors so they maybe used /jerked more even when not required.

let me see if I have the bad bulb.

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

guys interesting update!
1) got 2 calls from Mahindra that a team from Mahindra, Nippon (Bombay ) is coming to my place to check any niggles. they'll also bring a new updated silver box to get rid of resetting /black screen problem.

2) I had a word about clutch failures. I met an xuv 2012 owner in Jalgaon and SAME clutch failure
as mine. definitely a known issue but Mahindra
keeps on declining. I also have pics of failed part.
I was explained that an updated version of slave cylinder has been installed and shouldn't trouble again.

I took a close look at my XUV thunderbolt Leather seats. The seat appears Dried out and has lost its sheen. The age of vehicle is only 2 years and 35k kms. The Vehicle is always parked in Shade.
Any homemade remedies or Formula than can restore the suppleness and shine of the seats?

P.s- I am noticing a sharp dearth of replies. Why so?

There is no dearth of replies on this forum.Never ever believe you are all alone fighting this war in your xuv problems.Actually everybody is so busy reading awestruck at your experience and how you detail them that they forget to post replies!
I have tried waxpaul liquid leather polish as well as silicone shoe silicone polish(not the black one but the transparent one). All seem to work for the leather, but the silicone ones are costly and lasts longer.

Thanks for dropping in mayank,
1)I made 4 b2b Posts but no replies so was a bit perplexed if something was wong!

2)I have this product-
WOLY: For Smooth Leather - Multi Color Lotion
Is it appropriate? If you give a green go, I'll try it on my seats.

3) Can someone confirm if their HU resets abruptly when Music is Playing and we crank the engine?
