@Gurrala , what is the opinion of your dealer abou185 /60 t xm2 vs 195/60 potenza .
In Pune dealers are pushing whatever is available with them without any reasoning.

Since last 4 days air pressure in one of the tire was getting reduce d spontaneously despite top ups.

So went to puncture shop , to my surprise he detected a puncture 1 to 2 cm. away from the rim edge .
He said the puncture at such location is irreparable as any such attempt invites extension and flaring up of the puncture site and adviced to fit the tube in it. But I refused and got the spare wheel fitted as replacement is top on my agenda.

Bro. Try to change the tyres before next puncture. Any further discussion wont lead you anywhere. Yes, it will only add to your confusion.
A considerable change in the wheel size might disturb the dynamics of your car, and wont be safe, and economical in the long run, IMHO.
Drive safe.

Thanks alo,t everyone , for sharing thoughts and helping me to reach a decision especially jarpickle , gurrala for their consistency and patience .

. It would be Bridgestone potenza 195 /60 , I will do it soon within 2 to 3 days.

Meanwhile need to know about ' tire running in' period and precautions other than WAWB , manufacturing dates.
Should I fill in nitrogen at the time of fitting or wait for few days ?

Fill the tire with nitrogen from the get go.

The breaking in period for the tires is the same as the engine, 1000kms.Try not to push the tires hard for the first 1000kms.That means no taking off at the signal,no sharp turning and hard cornering.

Compare the prices of the tire+wawb at several stores and tell them that another store is offering the same for less even if they are not(use the online prices here). It compels them to drop the prices.

Good selection finally Tornado, I think your car needs the replacement immediately, so do not delay it further.

Ask the tyre shop guy to do the WB WA for free of cost as most of the tyre shops does this when the tyres bought from their store

Most of the well known dealers are asking for extra charges for WAWB .Reason given is sincerity and punctuality involve d especially while fitting the weight blocks. If used weights are fitted , they fall down after few days.

My last WAWB was done at 20k km. servicing hence do not want to take chances.

But they just recycle the old weights, earning them cash. You still have to pay for the new weights. There is not discount there.

What about alignment and balancing checkups later on?

You mention that you have to often drive on bad roads & you are needing to replace tyre @ 40000kms one reason is that you have only done WAWB once at 20K, it should have been done every 8-10K kms this is what I have been doing both cost only Rs 500 plus some time & my tyre have done 49K don't see any wear & tear they will be good to last another 20K kms but for safety reason I plan to change them at 60k kms since I drive at high speed on expressway.

Try being regular with WAWB it would surely help you in long run.

I have been rotating trye every 8K & at every rotation WAWB is done (should be done)
so I have done this 5 times till now & paid roughly 2200 till now & tyre gives me longer life probably due to that.

Routine tire rotation and balancing and alignment is a must.I get it done every year at the same time I do the oil change.

The day I go broke [lol]
