As per 3 TASSes , WBWA was not required after the 20kkm , The Tata owned TASS pune also said since there is no pulling and tires have worn out uniformly hence WAWB is not needed .

With my driving style and the road conditions bridgestone tyres of my previous cars lasted for 45KKM.
This time it is 40kkm , but I had anticipated it at the time of car purchase as tyres were manufactued almost a year back before the date of purchase.

You should not believe any ASS.They are just lazy fellows.

If you want the tires to last, get the WAWB done every oil change.

Why did you purchase old tires?

Left pulling experiments to correct it by TATA engineers confirmed my doubts, earlier it was my doubt then it became confirmed once I shifted from the default values.

My technical understanding clearly pointed out that manza in factory is being tested on a test bed which has zero camber where as real roads will have 1-2° camber & the values given have much less tolerance for 2 front wheels.

3 times the car ran straight when it was corrected by others but every time tata people warned me that this will create more trouble & warranty will not be possible for tyre & they corrected it to default values when done so the car was back to left pulling which they themselves could not correct after so many attempts not only in my manza but so many other manza (many owners got in touch with me & confirmed the same issue).

After that I decided not to get WAWB done from tata workshop (tata neither deals with tyre not the workshops have any experience with tyre, they just do run of the mill WAWB)

I went to a modern laser alignment tyre shop 45kms from my house but the good thing is that the owner himself own a manza & he confirmed me the problem & applied the solution by not using the default values which assume that the road is with 0° camber.

Once he shifted the values the owner assured me that if tyre gets abnormally treaded than he will replace 2 tyre of my choice, he was confident enough & knew what he was talking about so I took his word even though I was dealing with him for the 1st time.

I ran 1500kms & he called me to check so he can be sure nothing is abnormal with tyre & since then I have had much less left pulling in fact pulling is gone but the car now drifts to left only if I leave my hand from steering which is only for testing purpose, I don't plan to drive @120kmph & take off my hand from steering.

He is the one who advised me & explained that every rotation WAWB should be done & tyre will give you long life.

@ JP ,Yes , but at the time of car purchase I had decided to replace them but the mild hardness of ride quality (due to tires being manufactued 1 year back ) normalised once I got nitrogen filled in and reduced the pressure by 2 psi.

Hence defered the tire replacement expecting them to last for atleast 30kkm , but they lasted 40kkm.

@gypsy , kudos to the Laser WAWB man.
And congo for long life of the tires.

BTW , car drifting to one side 7 seconds after the steering is left is normal phenomenon It is considered abnormal only if it is occuring within 7 secs for all the cars though it is not a rule.

Car drifting after 7 sec is what I also would accept but what was happening earlier was definitely strong left pulling which was giving me pain in my arm as I had to hold the steering from going to left, 3 times it was corrected but my bad luck or ignorance I always believed & agreed with tata guys & they could not solve left pulling, moreover none of them were willing to commit that it indeed was left pulling until I recorded those infamous videos & uploaded on youtube for asking help.

PotenzaRE 88195/60 R 15 , mid -feb 13 manufactued .
one dealer is quoting Rs 5050 WAWAB free.other is saying Rs 5100 WAWB Free. Is it worth buying feb 13 manufactued tire.?

Rest of the dealers are saying , potenza RE 88 is going to be discontinued soon hence not available.

4 month old tire sitting in godown or shop is not going bad at all as compared to 9 month old tyre with manza standing in open yard which you took the delivery of, I say go ahead since you already have decided for Potenza RE 88195/60 R 15.
Rest of the dealers are saying , potenza RE 88 is going to be discontinued soon hence not available.
That is an old trick even if its true what are you going to loose?
Goodluck!

@Tornado

Go with one of those shops and buy the tires. There is nothing wrong with 4 months old tire.

Why it is getting discontinued, is there any reason told by them about the performance of the tires, if not it never bother us as we buy and use them and there is no servicing or spares required for a tire like a car which gets discontinued[:)] at times it is also trick by dealers who do not maintain that model or do not get much commission on the same. If still you have any doubts, then check with the BS people directly

Now I am at a dealership , He shown me potenza RE 88 @5100 march manufactued , Turanza ER 60 mid -may manufactued @5150 , for both WAWB/valves FOC.
Personally I found turanza 60 ER softer than potenza RE 88. Also it is looking wider despite same specs.
So now 'comfort ' factor will decide choice.

@jp , you have said that turanza is harder than potenza then why I am observing it opposite ? Is it because of difference in manufacturing dates?

The dealer said Turanza is more comfy than potenza while potenza has more life span than Turanza .
Now what to do ?
