@sethu sir,
They may be using diesel and not petrol. Petrol is more powerful compared to diesel and the shining goes off it seems.

Thank you both for your inputs. Will try to use car shampoo first (i doubt this time as it is a long line than just a spot) and try other stuff.
Sorry. I might be wrong and this happened in 2009.

Guys, i know you all are aware but still thought to share, there are many products companies and their sales representatives across cities in malls, petrol pumps showing demos and selling products, dont let unknown brands and products try on your vehicle.Luckily was behind a brio on whom one SE was showing how their product works as a sample and in the evening same owner with his brio was at same bunk wherei was filling my bike then, arguing with the bunk owner for those SE details as it ruined the colour shade and polish where they gave their samples.
So dont let anyone try to give demos of their products on your vehicles without knowing the brand and product, may ruin the paint and shine of your vehicle.

Very useful info. Not only there in fuel stations. Even in accessories shop we should be careful.

We got some air refresher for my friends car [Some unknown brand, and the container was too good and looks very rich] but while fixing that guy spilled some in dash board. we left it at that time. But after 10-15 days that places was looking very bad.

So it is safe to be far away from those kind of unknown brands.

Perfumes usually have spirits in them and this is what gives the fragrance which evaporates with time. even if you spill high quality liquid air freshener probability is that it will ruin your interiors. if you happen to spill air freshener inside your car and it is liquid in nature make sure that you clean it with a detergent and then apply some dash polish on it.

Sethu and sunil, this is why it is always recommended to keep your car perfume if its the pinup types tobe fixed on a/c vents, use it on sides rather then above your music system, it may ruin the front panel, display.
Setu bunk was where i saw it happening but commonly its done at many places, malls, main roads circles and all.

Wanted to update about the tar mark. It is not just a mark, it is more than that.
1-final.jpg
12-final.jpg

Tried washing with Amway Car wash (that normally removes the black spot). Didnot do any good.

Used less than a drop of WD40 and wiped it immediately. See the result
2-final.jpg

No change in paint colors (as far as i know).

Before selecting WD40, I went thru most of the forums including TAI. Googled and read a lot. Finally came to three things. Kerosine / Diesel and WD40. And out of them, WD40 was the lowest impact on paint as per my reading.

So tried this. I am happy with the result.

Yes Vijay, I always use the one which can be fixed into AC Vent. And yes I always you it one either of the side vents. I had lost one JVC HU just because AMIBPUR which was accidently fixed ulta by my son in middle vent and the system was spoiled completely [I came to know that ambipur would be the culprit after long time and thanks to TAI for that]

That's fantastic results appus. You please wait for couple of days for any reaction. If nothing is there, the product you have got is good and be happy.

I think these shop guys get more discounts on wax/polish (liquid items) than towels. The car accessories guy reduced 122 straight away for Meguiar's quick wax. 822 to 700Rs.
If it is sold on MRP online, you can check few local stores before ordering online.

if you see any Buy 1 get 1 (good brand), please post in the other thread (related to car cleaning products).

Thanks
yeah maybe you are right. i mentioned this before. there's one shop which deals in industrial chemicals , i went there and saw ABRO products like 40 products [surprise] distributor placed it there.

the guy said he'll give 16% discount on the MRP. MRP with him was high so the rate was high so i ordered from snapdeal at much less cost.

check snapdeal. they have buy 1 get 1 on most armorall products.

Thanks. I checked in the afternoon. Turtle products are out of stock.
I heard from local store that Turtle stopped manufacturing products. He was saying that he is not getting Turtle product anymore when it was selling hot.

@sethumurugan
About the WD-40 update. Checked the car for color fade or any mark.
No mark. It is smooth as any other place. You cant make out anything either by touch or look.

Sir,
Check this
2000 uses of WD-40

I was using WD 40 only for rusty parts. Like, if a thread is not coming out, i used to spray and get the screw removed with ease.
After lots of online/offline search, most people suggested WD40 over diesel, kerosine and petrol. There are specific tar spot removal which costs 300-400RS (Who knows whether the contents are same or not)

Anyways,
After joining this forum, i am taking care of my car more than I used to. Thank you TAI [clap]
