from where u got those quotes...?
What you say is for Exshow room price and I have the price list from the showroom itself. The Exshowroom price for the petrol is top end is 5.87 appox and for Diesel top end is 6.93 L approx

The Otr includes Insurance, Road Tax, Std Fitment, Insurance 0 Dep and Extended Warranty.

For Petrol, it is 7.17 otr and for Diesel it is 8.45 otr

I need to take the final decision between swift, grand and zest.
I would say TATA Zest. Reason being its a new product from a established Indian brand. Has some really nice features and boasts of a refreshed look. Over here on the forum too there are happy Zest owners so you may take advice from them too in future.

I would not say Swift simply because it lacks safety features in mid-model and its a dated design. With cosmetic changes here and there Swift still remains dated.

Grand i10: Undoubtedly a good car but compared to Zest it actually stays back both in size and features.

Regards

Do test drive options like Zest , sail UVA [their mid variant has ABS and driver airbag].

And polo too , my friend purchased 2 months back has 7L on road on bangalore. which has ABS, EBD and dual air bag. [ i think their mid variant]

Swift is all time proven car. Zest is the new revolution.

My choice is Swift Zxi [specifically a top variant]
Second choice Zest XT.
Third would be Punto Evo

If you can wait for Bolt to launch.

SWift is the most overrated car i will say.
It is not that is bad but if cars like polo or sail or punta would have from maruti stable it also would have got same set of response from market.

I would choose between the Zest and Sail Hatch and never look back. One big problem is How we can trust TATA for their Break-downs and some small issues ? Same with Chevy for their 10th Fail Kids who come there for servicing cars.Mr.Baker is right.Swift is one of the most overrated car.Has lower boot space and Interior space,Scary brakes,Dead Safety.I wouldn't go for the Punto now.Polo is an awesome car.
