So got more details about the Innova's launch from a dealer. He was the manager of the showroom

Toyota is launching INNOVA in both the 2.4 & 2.8 liter engines.
Automatic only in 2.8 L model.
2.4 will have only basic features including 2 airbags and ABS in the top-end.
2.8 will have 6 airbags ABS, TCS, EBD, etc.

He was not able to say, but said that approximately top end automatic 2.8L will come near 24-25 ex-showroom.

Friends, As per my source in Toyota Dealership here, TKM is launching the all new Innova Crysta on May 03rd 2016. With the BR-V launching on 05th May-2016, it would be interesting to see how the 2 new products are accepted in our market and how well are they able to compete against each other.

I have a feeling that this car will be place above the current innova,selling along side because the current car is already selling in good numbers why would Toyota change anything which ain't broke. Adding a new varient & pricing it at a premium makes sense. I think crysta 2.8 auto will be priced around 20-22 lakhs ex showroom.

I am also eagerly waiting for this launch. Pre-Booked BR-V Automatic hoping it would be priced under 15 on road for top variant. I am hoping Innova top end automatic will be priced around 21L on road. Otherwise will stick to BR-V most probably. I hope both of them don't become greedy and launch at exorbitant prices like CRETA.

Bad news, crysta is rumoured to be having lesser space than the outgoing innova.
Crysta offered in uae gets only dual airbags, dont know what to expect here?
