Buntybabaji hearty congratulations I am waiting to see a dual tone version on road, btw I heard it has rear DVD entertainment system and some other ad dons is this true ?
Sorry to revert late I am traveling a lot - on your question about mid I would suggest if you want to wait and rather get the double decker one that's coming in the new auto pajero sport that might gel even better
But the current mid has two components the mid itself and the back panel should be a straight forward procedure if they can't do please test them thoroughly if they can service the vehicle. :)

This is one helluva vehicle for sure. Chetak has been a big source of help with ideas and contacts. Bangalore folks, lets join together one weekend for a catchup and post some pics too!

Hey IronRock - how did you get the DRLs installed? I talked with a local accessories guy who said it would be with the fog lamp switch - I am not convinced. Questions:
a. Are your DRLs always on while driving?
b. Did the installation involve and wire cuts (any issues with warranty)?

I am game. We can catch up somewhere on the NICE road and have a small meet of sorts.
There is a restaurant very close to the Kanakapura Road exit that serves good non vegetarian food.

I bought the DRLs off an auto shop, I wont say they are the best quality but they are ok. Initially i wanted something thats not just a simple horizontal DRL, but then i came up with the idea of pair of 3 :) - probably overboard.
The installation doesnt involve any wire cutting , i just took a wire from the fusebox and put a switch in as well - so can manually switch on and switch off the DRL. This will only work when the ignition is on position(engine need not be on)
Yes very curious to know all the extra add-ons , well you will hear anything from 25k to 40k for the MID , I suggest negotiate hard, Mine was an end of year sale,i got it for free thanks to good dealer relationships.
I am now waiting for the new double decker cluster to come - will try and see if my dealer can sweeten it for me further.

My dealer has quoted an unconfirmed/roughly price of 22K. Its a good deal then I suppose if I negotiate it down to around 15K - 20K! The double decker cluster would be welcome if it can be fitted without any hassle in the existing dashboard

The Pajero Sport AT will have the double decker MID when it is launched and it is currently at homologation.
I would suggest you wait for it to be launched and then have the double decker MID fitted to your vehicle. That will save the 1DIN space in the centre console which is pretty useful as a storage for cell phones, wallets etc.
In the meantime, talk to your dealer and take his word for the retrofit as soon as it is available.
While the double decker console should most likely be a straight fit, whether the MID too will fit the new display slot which looks smaller than the current one is something that needs to be checked.
The attached picture clearly illustrates the size of the console which is identical to the current console.

This was the quote I got from Gujarat (Surat) dealer in June 2014:-
"2) MID will be supplied by company, But Wiring harness and other things we have to do locally. ( Cost of MID approximately 22,000 Rs.)"
