Unfortunate happened again. Car dead on run. Cranking, but not starting. No fuel pump priming. Towed to a FNG. God knows what next.
Happened exactly with a friends beat with just 52k on the odo
Cranks but doesnt start culprit was injection pump failure had to repair it and sell off the car for a Honda Jazz (*read reliable daily drive* )

It was indeed the fuel pump. SA gave hint about changing it later during the overhaul since it would take the bill north of a lakh.

Car got repaired at a small garage called Premier Automobiles near Malayinkeezhu run by father/sons team. One of the sons was an ex-Chevrolet/Deedi mechanic and well aware of generic issues with Chevrolet cars. Later came to know my colleagues Optra was also worked there.

Before towing here, called up Chevy and they were asking 26k for new pump and labor.

This guy charged 11.5k for repairing + labor. Another 4.5k for service and brake cylinder change. This is the 3rd or 4th time changing them [frustration].

Back compression issue detected in my Beat. Colour less smoke coming out when dipstick and engine oil cap removed. Service advisor suggested engine over-hauling as a final solution. Estimation given around 60K. Meanwhile recommended to get PCV oil separator filter replaced. Please suggest what to do now?

Get filter changed first. If persists and overhaul is inevitable, get it done outside if you can find a reliable Chevy mechanic.
Got PCV oil separator filter changed. Still colour-less smoke coming out when dipstick and engine oil cap removed. Is it due to hot engine or something else?

Also wanted to know at what intervals the throttle body and fuel injectors should be cleaned in Beat diesel??

Run the car and see if its consuming oil. If your oil levels are going down you need to inspect the turbocharger first and then the engine.
Another way would be to do a compression check and see if the piston rings are holding up a tight seal.

No change in oil and coolant level. Just colour-less smoke/steam is coming out of dipstick hole when removed; and oil cap as well. Does this indicate back compression?

How to fix this issue? Has anyone here faced similar situation and over come out of it??

Had similar scenario when service adviser recommended engine rework. Ended up with engine ceasing as well and got towed to dealer, but it was white smoke through dip stick. Just steam isn't an issue. Common in our Polo.

It is just the fumes coming out of dipstick and oil cap area, once the engine starts. Is it a symptom of back compression? Also wanted to know at what intervals the throttle body and fuel injectors should be cleaned in Beat diesel??

1. Not sure of the fumes.
2. Don't think there is any set interval for that.

Throttle body cleaning is done during major services of the car (For Hyundai's 30k,60k,etc)

Fuel injector cleaning (With additives like Liquimoly)-Can be done as DIY (Check rates with service centre and then decide whether to DIY or at there)
A complete Injector Overhauling(Its required when you feel injector is conked off, this method is a hit or miss, can work in some cars, while in some its worthless)-In injector overhauling the injector is removed ,cleaned and mechanically repressurised and reinstalled(There are some centres in Kochi ,some Bosch centres will do the same)
Better to replace injector if budget permits and note once one injector starts failing, others also will be in line to get replaced (as the other injectors get burdened with load of the failing injector)
Slightly off topic injectors of different brands -Ford Fiesta and all has injectors made by Siemens ,Bosch. So contacting them during replacement is also beneficial for injector replacement.
