Throttle body cleaning is done during major services of the car (For Hyundai's 30k,60k,etc)

Fuel injector cleaning (With additives like Liquimoly)-Can be done as DIY (Check rates with service centre and then decide whether to DIY or at there)
A complete Injector Overhauling(Its required when you feel injector is conked off, this method is a hit or miss, can work in some cars, while in some its worthless)-In injector overhauling the injector is removed ,cleaned and mechanically repressurised and reinstalled(There are some centres in Kochi ,some Bosch centres will do the same)
Better to replace injector if budget permits and note once one injector starts failing, others also will be in line to get replaced (as the other injectors get burdened with load of the failing injector)
Slightly off topic injectors of different brands -Ford Fiesta and all has injectors made by Siemens ,Bosch. So contacting them during replacement is also beneficial for injector replacement.
It's 60K kms completed, haven't got throttle body and fuel injectors cleaned so far. Should i go for it?

Checked pollution. Idiot was revving the car hard with no reading, till I noticed hose was not attached to exhaust. Surprisingly there was not any smoke even with high revv. Back on road, to check, launched at 3-4k rpm and mamma mia, it was rocketing to my surprise. Literally a go kart on steroids [evil]

Checked alignment and again no issue. May be the only quality part in car. Even bushes are stock. No noises or thud from anywhere.

Crossed 60k.

And another disaster struck [frustration]
Smell of diesel, thought it was the gas station's smell. Continued and same smell. Got out and checked for leaks, nothing. Popped hood and there was diesel everywhere. Just cranked and there was a fountain. Luckily car did not catch fire.

Culprit, cracked hose. Called the mech, sent his assistants. Idiots did not bring spare. Parked there and went home in an auto.

New hose. Charged 300 rs in total.

I dont think this is the right way to do it. WD40 leaves an oily residue, which will cause errors once dust accumulates on it. 100% Pure Lab grade Isopropyl alcohol is recommended. Since is evaporates shortly.
Obviously, not the right way [lol]. Only had WD40 when in hurry.

Remote battery conked off.

Battery was CR2025. Not the regular CMOS battery, which is 2032. Last 2 digits represent height of battery. 2025 is 2.5 mm thick and 2032 is 3.2 mm. Got hold of Sony, was around 50 each, AFAICR.

Hi @deville_56
got nostalgic seeing your Beat,
I had bought a Black Beat on Dec'11, i was so much in love with the front looks and the Glowing Blue Interior lights.
i had no complaints with the car and the Chevrolet service centre in my 6 years of ownership.
So,are the Chevrolet service centres still active in your city?

Dealer took Jeep FCA dealership and Chevy service/spare operates at a corner now. Dont know how long they will provide support. Out-of-routine spares are mostly out of stock. Service is expensive there (like before). None of the Chevys I know go there for service.

August 2018:

Signs of alien invasion.

And found this cutie pussy. Got it out after hours of "cat and mouse" play. Sadly it left us.

On pre-Onam week, started for a trip to Kollam, which was about 140 km to-fro. Half way through brake started developing sand papery feel. First, doubted it was rear wheel skidding. Brake started fading as kilometers clocked. Somehow managed to get back. Gave the car to Premier, the FNG. Opened the drum and there was nothing left in there, it was the fallen cylinder, which ruined everything, even damaging the drums. Since it was holiday week and no parts or labors, left the car there. Plus asked for some extra jobs including new bumper and paint job. Days went by and car sat there. Only thing I hate about FNGs. Every year laborers switches job during this time and most of the places will be short staffed. This time it was the painter.

September 2018:

Mechanical jobs completed and bumper and parts purchased, but still no signs of painter.[frustration]
