Finally took the plunge and booked the mighty Endy 3.2 Silver. Hoping to get the deliver soon. [:D]
Congratulations. Surprising that it's not available in stock.
The Nexen you have is not available in Chennai and the Dealer is asking 16K per Tyre to get it from Delhi. [cry]
The price is similar in Delhi too. What's the exchange price being offered for the stock MRF?

We won't exchange for Nexen as he does not have the stock himself. However, if I were to Take Michelin Primacy SUV he would take the stock MRF for 9.5K

Have never used Michelin tyres in SUV so can't comment but isn't the Primacy a Highway Tyre? The tread pattern does not look like All-terrain. Apart from Nexen, you could also check with other brands - Chennai must have lot of options.

Taking a detour

A detour to avoid traffic over unpaved sandy path meant putting the 4WD hardware to actual use. The Terrain Management System was kept in Sand mode and for optimum traction Rear Diff was also locked. The end result of saving time was priceless.

The clean Front end...

Actually the end result of getting to enjoy the vehicle,on a terrain for which it is made, and on which many won't/can't drive upon,...was priceless.

^^ you got it right [:)]

Last weekend visited a resort and it was quite a surprise to spot 3 Endeavours (including mine) among 14 cars and no Fortuner / Innova. Even more interesting was the fact that all 3 Endeavours had Raptor grill among other modifications [lol]

Changing the Foot Mats

The original mats from Ford are good but quite short in size. Found a set online which had good reviews on Amazon.

These mats don't offer any dust absorption due their material but the material itself is non-skid. They cover the carpet completely to the extent that it reaches below the seats too. The fit is good and has properly designed cutouts.

The complete set

Finally middle row mats covering the floor hump as well...

Hi A.G,

Mats look really good, I am also looking for the mats. Did you remove the original mats and then put these or the original one's are still below these?

As time goes you will see more and more Endy's on road. I had been to the Yard for Pre-delivery inspection, the dealer had atleast 15 endy's stocked and all were booked except mine.

I got mine delivered on Friday and Since then I have been wanting to get out of the house more often. Driving this car is a pleasure. Shockingly my friend who had already made up his mind to by the Tfort, decided to switch to Endy after he drove mine. Amazing car just waiting to take her on a long drive.

However, I feel Ford has done some serious cost-cutting. For example, providing those cheap looking rubber floor mats for a car of that price range is atrocious. Further, if you notice the manner in which the chassis number is printed (poor quality print), looks like a photocopy of something (It should have been a badge).

Overall very happy with the purchase and I would recommend all my friends to buy one. fuel Economy so far has been between 6.5 to 7.2 KPL. I am told it would improve after service.

A.G - Changing the front grill does not interfere with the airbag sensors?

Chennai does not have any other option in the AT segment. YES Primacy is a soft roader, Highway Tyre. I am told it gives a better fuel economy as compared to an AT tyre. Therefore decided to continue with the Stock tyre for now.

Congratulations on getting your truck. Do post some pictures and start your ownership thread.

Indeed, after experiencing Endeavour, it is hard to go for Fortuner on pure product merits.

The official Ford mats are fabric type with rubber back to avoid slipping. The driver's mat even gets spikes on the bottom with locks to keep it in place. As for chassis number, I presume you are referring to the one printed on the windscreen corner. Do check out the actual stamped number in the front passenger footwell which even gets a cover. Cost cutting is in entirely different area.

No, the sensor is not mounted on the grill and hence there should be no interference with airbag sensors.

I found the Stock tyres to be crap - the more you drive, the more you will see the disappointment in them. It is surprising that Nexen or any other brand AT is not available in Chennai.

My only grouse with Nexen tyres after almost 10K Kms is the number punctures - have already had 6 of them in 3 tyres with the last being due to a thin 15mm nail. Apart from that, these tyres are awesome in the ride, handling and comfort they offer.

Have you ever changed the headlight bulbs to better once? I have read a lot of reviews about the headlight being very poor. I am also not sure if we can change to LED (White) and if so would it void the warranty ?

I will post pic after my first outstation trip. waiting to get out [glasses]

"What I got with the car was a full rubber black ugly floor mats. [frustration]"
can you send me a pic of what fabric mat you got with the car? I will take it up with Ford and see what can be done about it !

Additions 2 - Digital Tyre Inflator, HUD and LED Light Bar

Digital Tyre Inflator:
The replacement of my previous tyre inflator was long overdue as it lacked auto cut-off upon reaching the desired pressure and had a very slow inflation rate (used to take close to 4 minutes to inflate the tyre of Pajero Sport from 20 PSI to 32 PSI). Got the MotoMaster Heavy Duty inflator which features auto-shut off once the set pressure is reached. It comes in a nice sturdy box and connects directly to the battery. The coiled air hose is 5m long and the wire itself is close to 3m long. Being twin-cylinder, the inflation rate is very fast and it took less than a minute to inflate the Endeavour's tyre from 24 PSI to 32 PSI.

Tried to search this in Amazon & its not yielding any results. Where did you bought this from & how much it costed you? Are you using any hydraulic jack for the endy?
