I will not vote for zest because ASS and the resale value is still to be proven,
TATA cars always have a fair resale value except for the NANO, SAFARI and ARIA.

The Resale value is always commanded taxi market, largely due to the utility purpose. Cars from the TATA, mainly INDICA, INDIGO, VISTA, MANZA, SUMO will be easily sold coz they are economical (say cheap) to maintain and are robust for the handling done by cabby guys. Cab owners swear by the TATA cars.

I too swear by my car but that doesn't make it best. Tata cars are good but can't be labelled as best till they proove so over a period of time .

@silverlxnano ,in the picture you posted, ownership review which is updated recenty is seen on the top or on page one . It has nothing to do with greatness of the car.

Mr.Tornado i understand TATA is not THE BEST car. However it is definitely one of the best car's available in indian market. you are speaking in terms of a urbanized Customer of TATA, as you have enormous choices for the money you spend. However in the sub-urban as well as Rural area's give a visit you will find only maruti's and TATA's why??? because they are reliable and can be serviced by any Tom Dick and Harry, unlike other cars where you will have to tow 100's of kilometers to the service station to get them repaired. whenever one comments take entire India into account. I agree that most of TATA's are Taxi's but shouldn't that make us proud its the choice of 1000's and Lac's of taxi owners why coz its reliable, easy to maintain, Less Niggles,Good Space, Better mileage. the most important of all suitable for any kind of Indian roads. and lastly ITS INDIAN.

I never said that they are the best. Remember, if cab owners are confident that the car can run many miles without any pain and maintainence is within reach, then they don't require anymore. That's the mantra! Finally, ease and economic costs of maintaining the car is what they want. This rules the resale value.

If you look at MARUTI they could not enter the taxi market. Coz their car are well built but not rugged like the TATA cars. They have resale value only in the private ownership space.

I would like to go with Honda Mobilio being a 7 seater family car with a tested engine and decent mileage. I think it is a FWD MUV the other being Maruti Ertiga. The price of the vehicle is reasonable.

Have been using Elite since November, clocked 8k till now. Very satisfied owner plus point,

- Looks & Style, (10/10).
- Premium Feeling.
- Fuel Efficiency (Petrol).
- Driving Comfort.
- Full packed Features.
- Ample boot & cabin space for Hatchback.

Lacks little in terms of Power & pick up.

And the other has to be Honda City, surprise to see Zest top on chart. May be price point matters too over Features & Look. ;)

For me it has to be between Elite & City.

Wow, that's a lot of kms in 3 months for a petrol car.
Yeah, Elite kills all when it comes to the 'Looks' [evil]

OT - where do you stay in Thane?

The engine is brand new. I don't think it is a tried and tested engine a-la the Fiat's Multijet. It has lots of issues vide NVH. The engine still needs a lot of refinement especially in the noise and vibrations department.

The only reason it is from Honda is something we can be assured of. Coz they have a solid engineering backup.

I'm really confused with only two cars 1) Alto K10 2) Zest

The Zest no matter is an all rounder except the A.S.S which is a vital factor for me (only me) and alto from many aspects is good but sucks design wise, as per me to vote here both are competing neck to neck with with little things to differentiate.

So in any case i decided to vote for Alto K10 though knowing Zest is the winner because for a buyer like me i'd like to see the total worthiness of the product for the money poured in.
\peace/.
