Re: Tata Zica Spy Pics Completely Revealed

Tata Zica Engine and Transmission Specs:*1.Diesel*Engine:1.05-litre, 3-cylinder dieselPower:64bhpTorque:140NmMileage:25Km/l (approx.)Transmission:5-speed manual

**2. Petrol*Engine:1.2-litre, Revotron petrolPower:80-85bhp (expected)Torque:110-120Nm (expected)Mileage:16-18Km/l (expected)Transmission:5-speed manual

Powering Tata's new hatchback will be a newly developed 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel unit that puts out 64bhp and 140Nm of torque. The engine is reportedly a reworked version of the old 1.4-litre diesel unit that was used by Tata and should return a healthy mileage of around 25Km/l. The Zica will also be available with a new 1.2-litre Revotron petrol unit which is currently in use on the more premium Tata Bolt hatchback and Tata Zest sedan although it reportedly may be re-tuned for the Zica. Both engine variants will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox although Tata may later choose to introduce an AMT variant of the Zica as well.

Re: Tata Zica Spy Pics Completely Revealed

Why do I see the design elements picked up from various cars like Figo (New one), Brio and Grand i10!? [surprise]

The equipment list is good and I think the space will also be decent despite the small footprint, as has been the case with Tata cars. An AMT mated to the diesel will make it an instant hot-seller, even though the platform looks very Indica-ish to me (rear). But why 3 cylinder engines? 4 cylinder engines would have given it another major plus point.

Yes it looks like new figo'ish'.I appreciate because tata got rid of old design language At least[clap]. Yes they should have introduce 4 cylinder engine. I think they introduced 3 cylinder engine because of cost cutting. It will fight against grand i10,Chevrolet beat, celerio diesel.

Re: Tata Zica Spy Pics Completely Revealed

Why open a new thread for Zica when there is already a thread in which all such info are shared already?

Re: Tata Developing New Hatchback (Kite) To Replace Indica

For the people who tell ALL TATA cars look like inspired from INDICA, hope they will change their statement after seeing this.

Or they might still say, the design has been copied from other cars [;)]

Far far better than new MARUTI launches.

Good to see TATA s new design language but will it improve the image TATA has made as a commercial vehicle manufacturer, as the number of zest and bolt i see on road are too less ! also as per youtube videos they will be using indica s platform for zica and later to be launched sub 4m zica sedan!

That is a lovely and pleasing interior! Curvy and beautiful![clap]
They have covered the seats and gear-lever though. Hope the quality is best in class.
Ergonomics seem to be great and space too. Those doorpads look expensive and there are decent sized bottle holders as well I hope.
I guess this will be the best in class in it's segment in every aspect![:D]

The interior suggests possible dual front airbags could be an option? With so many hatchbacks in the market getting completely unique design is going to be tough. Everyone will see a bit of some other car in every new car. Price, build quality,ASS seem to be on Cyrus Mistry's hit list-happy times (i hope) for TML.

Re: Tata Developing New Hatchback (Kite) To Replace Indica

The Black-Beige combination looks good in the Interior's pics. I think they have reduced the passenger space slightly to offer larger boot space. The rear parcel tray looks big, which suggests larger boot space. The Infotainment system seems to be borrowed from the XM variants of the Zest & Bolt, not the touch-screen type. I hope there is atleast one bottle holder for each door and a few more little storage spaces, compared to the Zest/Bolt. These things are sorely missed there.

From the pics, I think my excitement level to check this baby in flesh has increased. Hope to see it in showrooms in January.

One question - What's there on rear spoiler the black add-ons or it's just design??
its looks like the wind deflectors(wind noise comming windows lining at rear doors ending) to provide better aerodynamics of the body kudos to TATA they are concentrating on each and single bit of the car their engineering team looks like miles ahead then others [clap]

Man.. this is simply great. Tata has finally getting into the game.

Zica is far far far looking good than all the cars in its segment.

Tata has to open a separate service station for private owners. They should not mix it up with taxi segment.

Damn sure this will be a good fortune for Tata. Good Luck Tata.

That's very true my dear friend, I suddenly thought it to be the grand i10, then think of the on-lookers view. Best part is they didn't bring in the oldage indicaish styling again!

The car looks good and big, also the interiors seems to be spacious. December is the launch dates??
