I was always comparing this to the i10 grand which is the best looking car. I never thought this is gong to overtake the i10 Grand in terms of looks.

That's very true my dear friend, I suddenly thought it to be the grand i10, then think of the on-lookers view. Best part is they didn't bring in the oldage indicaish styling again!

The car looks good and big, also the interiors seems to be spacious. December is the launch dates??

Launch date is confirmed January 1st week.

Fog lamps, rear fog lamp and rear wash-wiper seems to be standard! Also note that the front seat headrests are not fixed even on the base variants!
Bumpers and door handles are black while the B pillar is body colored.
Hope that Driver Airbag is standard on base variant.

Even the base model seems to come with some unexpected features like Fog lamps, body coloured ORVMs with integrated indicators, rear wash/wipe, rear spoiler with stop lamp, rear fog lamp. All these are generally not present in base models of most other cars.

Questions in mind - Zica would be delivered in January 16 to the customers made in 2015. Wouldn't it be called as 2015 model??

Second question - Tata is preparing base models and now days; even in the case of Zest as well most of the sales were from top three models hence waiting period. Can Tata afford waiting period??

The above pictures posted by DJBro look like Base version. But i think that might be a mid model without the bumpers painted which might be done at dealer or it might be an export model. If Tata offers these many features as standard, I don't think they'll be able to price it under 4 lakhs. Great product and the 1st car that has impressed me in Tata stable after the Indica & Sierra in 90s. Lets hope this will change the fortunes of Tata Motors.

after observing above spy images for me its clearly giving signals that tata started thinking customer point of view in variants and features positioning by keeping essencial key features as standard equipments and leaving unnessercery features, here lets talk about features that average buyer wanted to be in his car who had tight budget

- Some main features that customer wanted to come with standard equipment because features not fixed in reliable manner in Car decors like

-power windows
-keyless entry
-rear wash wiper with defoger
-powered mirors
and in some extend integrated music system too

- some features that we can customise our cars easily in dealer level without paying more money like

-body color bumpers(cost around 8000rs for each bumper with paint)

-body color door handles( cost around 2000rs for paint)

-steel rims

so by offering these parts without body color form TATA want to save some money in production to price these cars more attractive manner to grab the buyers attention kudos to tata motors team

If TATA ZICA equiped these main required features as a standard then it will be a game changer product for TATA we should welcome this change

Bro any factory won't fit the bumpers without painting. Also did anyone notice that the fog lamp surrounds don't have chrome. Also there are no defrosters on the rear windshield and there are plain steel wheels without wheel caps or even a black paint. This seems to be a base variant only.

Its reminds new ford figo and some of the Hyundai hatchbacks. Their tag line for first car buyers to label it an affordable car might be "Sikka sikka jodo, Zica on its way" .
