Hey guys,
i had booked an orange XE tiago a month ago and last thursday they said they could give me a red XE tiago in 5 days. So i locked it in and paid the full amount and am now waiting for my car
In my excitement i went ahead and ordered 2 sets of JBL cs 6c component speakers to fill all the slots.
I also ordered a blauepunkt san marino 330 head unit which is a double din unit.
I'm starting to get really worried. Can anyone or any owner please confirm that the tiago has a double din slot? I assumed it did but i'm getting nervous now that the music system is in my hand.
My first post here.. please help

Would any one know if there is a factory fitment for a double din system with no cutting required? The dealer is fixing it up for me so that i still keep my warranty

I don't think company will be producing top end without alloys as it takes more time to modify their assembly line. Looks like SA is just passing time. Ask him whether he can deliver within a week without alloys, as you will get better alloys in market with that price. Ask him to come with a workable date or ask him the waiting number based on booking sequence. Tata works like a government organisation where you have to push to get your work done

Exactly my point sir. Called my SA again today as he told me last time that I'll be allotted a car on 13th June, Only to discover that it would almost take about 20 days more to deliver a brown XZ petrol as he says that the next lot which arrives next week only consists of orange and white cars and no brown ones. It pains to see Tata killing such a potentially great product with mismanagement at company or even at a dealer level.

Can you please post some more pics of interiors and exteriors of the XE (O) or XE variant? Or point me to the link where I can see pics of XE variants?

Its XM variant. My dealer installed a JVC HU and named it "XM Plus" along with body colored ORVM and door handles. I haven't seen an XE variant yet.

That is actually the interiors of the normal XM variant without airbags . There seems to be enough space for a double din system and just the right fitment is needed to put in a double din slot.

and they asked me to proceed the bank processing this month onward s(EMI).

There is no price hike as far as I know. Please visit SRT Tata dealership as well and get a quote from them. I paid only 5.6 for my petrol XZ.

The XM Plus car was sold out when I visited dealership last week to collect my paperwork. Will call them if they can give an estimate for these over phone.

Want to share my Experience till now: (Admins delete this if it is off topic)
This is the first car in my family so everyone is excited.
Did a lot of research on forum and found this to be worth the money so booked Tiago XZ Brown on 18 April in Pune Pandit Auto.
They told me it would take 5 weeks for delivery. Since I did not see other Tiago colours so was not sure which one to buy the SA infomred they can change colour later also before delivery.

15 days prior to delivery date I saw the Berry Red colour posted on this forum and the video was immensly helpful to decide. Call SA told him I wanted a Berry Red colour. SA reverted back after 2 days that it will take another 2 Months from now since I have moved from the Brown XZ queue to Red XZ queue.
Was astonished with this reply. Talked to his supervisor still the same reply.

Visited another dealer NATIONAL Auto near Magarpatta. The waiting of Tiago petrol had reached 3 months.
SA told we can try for early delivery if we book the car.

Next day got a call from SA NATIONAL Auto that they have Berry RED tiago readily available, if I give the downpayment today itself.
Went to showroom saw the Berry Red Tiago XZ on display and was ready to book the car, when the my SA and other SA started arguing that why did my SA promise delivery of a car to someone who has not booked it where as the other customer had booked the car a month back.

They went to the manager and later the issue got sorted that I will get an allotment in two days if I make down payment today.
Did the downplayment and after 2 days was informed my car was in transit and would take a week.
After a week went to the Godown and saw the car assigned to me. Waiting for the RTO registeration now. Hopefully will be done in next 2 days.
Will have to cancel the Tiago at Pandit auto.

Need advice on Accessories, will ask on the FB or whatsapp group.

I had booked at Concorde Baner, on 23rd April, Brown XZ Petrol, was promised delivery in 4 weeks at the end of 3rd week while I followed up I was said it would take 4 more weeks, so total 8 weeks. I agreed.. Again on 6th week they mentioned Brown would take further 8 weeks, all together 16 weeks. I was so mad at them, did all escalataions I could, dropped an e-mail , met the head at Concorde.. FB, Tweeter.. TML support team contacted me but again same response.

Finally I said I am ready to compromise on colour, so decided for Blue, SA promised me delivery in June.. But no signs delivery or my car in transit.
Not sure what else to do.. only thing I am doing is wait n watch. As I liked this car.

Try escalating the issue via Twitter and Facebook. I am sure you will get some better and more responsible response from Tata.

Day before yesterday got my Tiago first service done. My experience was excellent. No complaints and fully satisfied. Details later on please in another forum.

In around 20 days of ownership Odo reads 1600 and F.E is 21 km/l (Diesel). All is city run and hardly done 200 km on highway with 100% a.c usage. I have no complaints and happy with it. Ride is excellent and loves to drive it.

Extended Warranty :

Let me clarify on extended warranty as dealers are confusing customers with wrong information (personal experience). when I bought it dealer was telling it covers 60k km only and price quoted I don't remember now was also a bit high. So I didn't opt it at the time of purchase. A few days ago received call from Tata and they informed that for my model XZ Diesel the 2 yrs extended warranty will cost 7100 Rs and it will cover 1 lakhs km or 4 yrs whatever is early. Now this deal I found worth having. I asked him to send details on email so that I have it in written as dealer information was different. He said he will but as expected didn't receive any.

When I went for my first service, I enquired about the extended warranty and they informed 7100 for my model and will cover 1 lakh. This the guy on phone also informed. So satisfied and opted for it. They gave the warranty card hand to hand. You can opt for this warranty in first month otherwise the amount will keep on increasing. If you opt it next month it will cost 7800. I hope this information will help you guys.
