Hey everyone. Just one query. Going through the various posts by Zest owners, I see that there was some mud entering engine bay in the car, which can be fixed with a kit from TML. My question is, are the new cars (2016 models) come pre-fitted with this kit or do we have to fit it during some service.

Thanks Godfather and vikyjoshi.

I opted for the sky grey color.
Congrats on your beauty. Am buying the same color, so looking at ur pic, it has made me even more excited. [:D]
Can u check whether the mud kit comes pre-installed now?

Was driving to my home town today. Distance is around 75 kms.
Faced loss of power issue multiple times on my way:
1. Speed: 40-45, Gear: 4, AC:On(eco), Driving mode: city, DTE: around 110.
Car suddenly lost power. As I tried to downshift to 3rd, lights on the meter console turned on as if car was turned off, but just for one second and everything was fine then.
2.Speed: 55-60, Gear: 5, AC:On, Driving mode: city, DTE: around 100
Turned off the eco mode in a.c after facing issue for the first time. This time also lights on the console turned On. Didn't tried to downshift this time. Waited to see how long will it take to correctly perform. Took 2 to 3 seconds and everything was fine again.
3.Speed: 65-70 Gear: 5, AC:On(eco), Driving mode: city, DTE: around 85.
Again same problem, power suddenly lost. There were no lights in the console as earlier. Downshift indicator was blinking. Issue automatically fixed after 3-4 seconds.
All this happened in first 45-50 kms of the trip.
Did a tankfull and continued.
Driven on same speeds and similar other conditions. The only difference was that DTE now was 400+kms. For the last 25 odd kms of the trip there was no loss of power issue seen.
Can others facing similar issue confirm this behavior? I don't know if TATA has fixed this or not yet but it needs to be.

I faced this issue right from the day I bought the car.

I had multiple visits to tass and they can't find any fault with anything.

As of now after some settings done by them the issue didn't repeat but I am not confident yet.

You can check my ownership review for details.

Tata zest or polo petrol.. Confused.. Can anyone help
Well this needs a new thread however, heres my take on it.

Though both are as different as apple and orange. however, price point i believe there will not be a much of a difference. (correct me if I am wrong here)

So in the similar price point what you get if you opt for a Zest is
1. Great spacious, Compact sedan with great interiors, space and a boot.
2. Grand interiors, and lots and lots of bells and whistles (if you opt for the top end)
3. Value for money buy with moderate to cheap service costs.

What you get in a polo
1. Great car with decent features.
2. Volkswagen brand
3. German engineering
4. A car with powerful engine (if you opt for GTI)

So for me since I would want maximum bang for my buck I would have opted for Zest over polo. Service wise, I have feeling that polo would be costly to maintain.

Well correct me if I am wrong, but the GTs cost much higher in range of 9-10 lakhs. Zest's price is comparable to the normal petrol engine of Polo. Now, how powerful that one is I am unaware.
You answered your own question.

The gt engine has complex mechanicals and level of localisation is less. The 3 cylinder petrol engine in basic petrol polo is not worth the price.

Zest is vfm
