My zest completes 701 kms in one month 9 days.
The mileage has been 11 kmpl right from day one

Eco mode not helping much
Please refrain from using ECO mode before 1500km. The reason being the engine is not in it's peak performamce zone so when using ECO mode the car will be relatively sluggish and we will be giving more accelerator input than required. Check the mileage once in city mode and you will see that the car will be peppy and you can drive in higher gear compared to ECO mode. Once the car is properly run in it can be used in ECO mode and you will see improvement in mileage.

Hi Kishore,

If you are really dubious about the car, take it to the service center.
I got my Zest XT RT delivered in last week of Dec15.

I have had no such problems.
From stand still to move on any surface - has been good.
I have done more on City and Sports mode.
If it is a large bump or high incline , I am on 1st gear at standstill.

Mileage has been between 12.5-13.5 for B2B traffic in city mode.
Highway mileage has been 20+ kmpl : 90% Eco + 10% Sports.

Overall mileage (2300kms has been traveled till now) is 15.5 KMPL.
I have generally followed the MID instructions to change the gears,i.e. change the gear between 1800-2000 rpm.

I am looking for good service centre in hyderabad

Neither of the main dealerships are getting a good feedback

Need to check that before going
For technical problems Concorde motors Sanath nagar will be a better option. My suggestion is try experimenting driving in different scenarios. For example take it on a 200km drive on a Sunday like on ORR or the Karimnagar highway and check the mileage. In that way you will be better placed to raise a complaint at the dealership. When driving keep a watch on the instant mileage meter on the speedo, in that we will know at what speed/gear the car is giving higher mileage.

I Love my Zest XT Revetron for the bundle of package I got in a optimum price range, BUT Pick up is a HUGE issue with this car, Tata services do not have any solution for this issue and I will have to live with this issue.
90PS power!!! I never felt it either in city or Highways. A fully loaded car always struggles to overtake on Highways. Biggest drawback with this beauty.Looses torque on inclines as well. I do not know if TML can give a solution for this , Probably they do not have one!!!

How many km has your car done? Is pickup poor in sports mode too?

Sports mode improves pickup, however I would still struggle while sudden braking at higher speeds . 2nd gear is very sluggish. e.g. IF I am running at 50 Kmph in 3rd gear and changes to 4th gear, RPM suddenly drops to 1200-1000 range and then even if i push full throttle , car does accelerate .Finally i have to shift down , throttle it again , take the RPM to higher REVs and then shift. what i have noticed if RPM dropped below 1500 RPM car does not picks up but if i keep pushing it hard in higher rev range then it picks up and practically its highly impossible to keep RPM that high. [frustration]
I read similar issues from other Zest owners in Zest FB page as well. Might be a problem with few Zests as you are not facing this issue. you are lucky in this case.

Hi Members,
Just wanted to bring an issue with my RT XT (155000 Kms). Just for clarification i am not supporting any high speed endeavors and would suggest everyone against it. But this weekend while returning from a trip my vehicle was fully loaded with 5 adults and full luggage , so as soon as on a clear stretch my vehicle touched 120 kmph (just wanted to check the behaviour of the car at limits) the whole vehicle started to wobble , I mean i can feel the vibrations on the steering the pedals. And as soon as i came down say even to 115 it was planted as ever. But showed the same response again when i took her to 120.
Can some one please give me a solution for the same. Is it because of the wheel alignment or i really did take the vehicle to its limits. I have got my I year servicing done in Sep 2015. Wheel alignment was done at service centre at that time.
kindly provide your inputs.

Sir i would say thats how a turbo charged vehicle bahaves, as you would notice that the turbo kicks in around 1800-3500 RPM, so for optimal performance you need to keep your vehicle in that rpm range. You should not be facing any issues of overtaking or loss of power in this band width. This is not an issue but the the characteristics of the car. Enjoy the turbo.

This looks like wheel balancing problem. Get all the 4 wheels balanced at a good alignment center. By the way what was your mileage on that trip?
