Thank you Yogesh .the ELN in your chasis number means it is November 2014 manufactured. I have the same in my chasis number. You will get 18 spoke alloys for sure all cars manufactured until dec end should have 18 spoke alloys and all standard features.
Congs for your purchase.
Happy zesting.

My zest Qjet XMS just LOVE it. Took delivery on jan 7th . Has done 300 km so far.
Looks awesome man. Congratzz on your new beauty. Wish you many happy miles ahead.

I've completed 1500 KMs so far and have no issues to report whatsoever. Average FE shows 14.7 KMPL so far. Got 2 calls so far from TML : 1. Dealer experience and rating. 2. Vehicle satisfaction and improvement feedback. TML keeping good care of its customers.[clap]

Got another interesting call from Hyson Motors, Thrissur (Dealer) saying TML has set up free full checkup for zest cars the whole of next week (19-23). Can take the car anyday during this week and they ll do a detailed free checkup it seems. Anyone else who got similar calls???

My XM (RT) infotainment system is not able to read my pen drive. Everytime I connect it shows "USB Error". However, when I connect my phone through USB port, it can read the memory card of my cell phone and plays everything nicely.
Any solution for playing pen drive?
Thanks

Hi All,
I just searched online for solution. I formatted the pen drive with FAT32 partition. Now it is working fine. That means NTFS partition is not compatible.

Re: Tata Zest XM (Revotron) Ownership Review

Hi everyone. I got the delivery of my zest rt xms a week ago and since then I've noticed few issues. So I'm sharing it with you all to advice me regarding the same. The coolant temperature gauge on the instrument cluster shows just one bar everytime and the engine stalls a couple of times during the drive. Engine malfunction light also turns on sometimes during the run. I want to know if anyone of you facing the same problem or not and what should I do now? To me it seems like there is a fault in the coolant temperature sensor. Any advice on this?

Hi akash,

It is one bar when you start the engine, and it increases to 3 bars once the engine reaches optimum temperature and stays there till end of journey. stalling issue is not there in my car, i have not faced it till now after taking delivery.

Hi Guys,

Just got a call from chennai concorde tata motors to bring the vehicle for Harman music system upgrade. The upgrade is free of cost and informed by tata to do it on existing vehicle. when i checked with the service guy about the nature of upgrade he is not sure.

Has any zest owner got similar call from dealership ? if yes what is the upgrade being done to existing Harman system?
That's good news...it seems Tata is upgrading existing Harmen version to add navigation feature as they are providing with BOLT.

Hi,

Just now i talked with TaTa Motors person about updating firmware, he told it is not for all vehicles, only for few no of , which are having some hang issue in Harmon system. Harman released software update. so now they are applying effected zests.

Also he confirmed that tyre pressure should be 34psi and a sticker will be pasted when vehicle comes for service.

Re: Tata Zest XM (Revotron) Ownership Review

Seems that my zest has an issue with loose connection or faulty DRLs. Its just 12 days old. The same issue was noted during my initial pdi before taking delivery of the car. The service guy has agreed to replace the DRLs altogether to avoid repeat issues. Although the issue is small I am not impressed. Getting loose connections in a brand new car? Reliability of the car is still a suspect. The reliability bug should not ruin the otherwise impressive experience with the car. I had hoped tata has improved leaps and bounds with this car. But it seems tata still has a long way to go. [anger]

Hi Sunyard,

I am facing both the issues you have mentioned here, shall i directly go and tell those to my dealer's service center and will they rectify it directly.

I am not much worried about Herman as it might be a software update issue.
I am much concerned about the gear stick vibration , because service center guys may give some wage argument about that , so did you had to force them to do that or they did that themselves.
Please let me know.:help:

Re: Tata Zest XM (Revotron) Ownership Review

Dear Zest owners,
I have completed 1200 kms in my Zest XMS RT in a month and there are few updates to share with you all,

1) The car is very smooth to drive. Every time I lock, I look back to my car. Its a beauty. I even like smell of the car. I refilled it twice. Both the times, I filled upto auto lock. First time, I got 12.86 kmpl and next time it was 11.86 kmpl. The consumption of AC was minimum (5% can be assumed) for both times due to the winter season. I drove using Eco and City modes equally (50% use of both the modes).
Please suggest whether the mileage I am getting is fine or is it less than expectation?

2) I found two problems in my car. Both of them are quite famous now in internet. The first one is a) Mud in the engine bay and the second one is b) Engine stall during cold start. My car got switched off twice in the middle of the road. However, I am happy to announce that both the problems are now resolved by Tata Motors.

I have complained about both the issues to the regional office of Tata Motors and today morning I got a call from them. I was asked to take my car to any nearby authorized service center of Tata Motors so that they can fix the problems. For the first problem, they used brackets to cover the void spaces which was responsible for the problem. The second issue was solve by updating the ECU software. The total process took 30 minutes only. I drove nearly 10 kms after the update. The problem did not came back again. Moreover, the car is much easier to drive now, even in the Eco mode.

I would like to mention here that during the entire process, the people from Tata Motors were highly cooperative and their services are highly satisfactory.

I am looking for a cheerful ownership experience of my Zest for a long time.
