Congrats for the Sedan Class Vista, This looks great and i love the color especially for this car, Congrats again.

How do you feel about the car after 2700 kms? Any plans to add alloys?

Thanks Vishwas.. You may be bit late, but finally joined here..

Vista is going strong & my love also increasing day by day.. Previously I felt little bit nervous to drive a new car.. but now I used too it & My Vista giving a perfect company to me..

Definetly will go for alloys after 6months.. Till 6months I let my Vista to be in her own style

How much KM the QJD engine will take to settle down & from when I can get the proper mileage?

There are no particular numbers,you will see the difference in the car's behaviour when the engine opens up.

Vista is going to travel to Cuddalore from Vellore by tomorrow & will return by tomorrow itself.. Total Kms(Up & Down) would be 450km..

Will update the experience by day after tomorrow..

Today I've completed Cuddalore Trip successfully... Total Kms covered 420km.

Started from Vellore at 4:30am & Filled the tank in Vellore. due to early morning less traffic I maintained 100+ km/hr. when I reached 100.4Km from Vellore I found a Bunk near Veraiur(Between Thiruvanamalai to Thirukovilur Road ). So Top-up the Tank to check the mileage in Non-A/C. Vista drunk just 4.11 Liters. 100.4 Kms/ 4.11 L = 24.4 km/lit (Non A/C). I'm really Impressed. Vista Rocks in Mileage.

Again I tried to check the mileage with A/C. So, again top-up the diesel in Cuddalore . Distance covered from Veraiur to Cuddalore is 110Km. But, the Diesel man pressed the gun without checking the tank, so some quantity of diesel overflowed from the tank. Now Vista Drunk 7 liters of Diesel. 110km/7Lit = 15.7 Km/Lit (including excess diesel). This time Vista Drunk more, It may due to Cuddalore city traffic + state highway traffic.

Yes, In State Highway due to day time there was so traffic in all Junctions, due to that I'm forced to change the gears & applied breaks frequently..

I returned to Vellore at 3:00pm exactly. The State highway condition is Ok, but not that much good, even at some stretches the roads were very bad. But, I not felt any body pain or tiredness. I felt like I'm sitting on air balloon.


Next time I'll check the Mileage in National Highways with A/C & update to you Guys.

So far Vista Completed 3300KM... :)

Dont worry about the mileage now and just enjoy the drive.

Engine settles and open up by around 10000 km.
Do change the engine oil at 10000 km (3rd free service)

Meantime please follow some simple things like

1. Keep the engine idle for 45 sec to 1 minute during the first start in any day and also while starting after a long gap (parking more than 3 hours) in the same day.
2. Do not engage accelerator while starting or during the 1 minute waiting period.
3. While stopping the car, always allow to idle for 30 seconds.
4. Avoid sudden acceleration while moving the car from stationary. Instead release the clutch slowly and move slow for a few meters.

After 10000 km, 3rd service and oil change, you can see a good improvement in FE and engine smoothness.

Vista drunk just4.11 Liters. 100.4 Kms/ 4.11 L = 24.4 km/lit (Non A/C). I'm really Impressed. Vista Rocks in Mileage.

Yes, Even I too failed to guess 2012 Vista & Manza Correctly Especially in White Color. both are very similar to each other..

Last week we shifted our home to new place in Vellore itself.. for that we arranged TATA 407 for shifting the things.. we not able to load the things fully in a single trip.. so I used my Vista to load Electronic things & some other things..

Once I closed rear split seats & removed rear parcel tray I got a huge space in my car.. & I fully dumpped all the balance things..

1st trip I used the below electronic items
List Electronic things:
1.LG Flatron tv 29"
2. 1Ton AC with Compressor.
3. 17" CRT monitor
4. Printer with scanner,
5. UPS,
6. Fish tank,etc..

during the 2nd time, I have fully loaded my Vistas Rear compartment to the roof height with different things.. Vista helped me a lot while shifting my home..

The whole Yesterday I spent for my Vista..

Here the story:

9:30AM..
I have taken my Vista for water wash to service station..they took 3 hrs to clean my car completely.. once she took bath, she looks very bright & shiny ..

There the service man tried to open the Bonnet, but it was not opening, then I tried.. the lever was playing very freely, so I thought to check with TATA showroom.

1:30PM..
Then I went to my friend home to drop him..There my front right tyre got First puncture. so I changed the spare wheel & planned to repair the puncture in MRF showroom while return from TATA showroom.So, I had lunch in my Friend home itself.

3:00Pm
In TATA showroom: once I told the problem to Service Engineer, he arranged a Mechanic and the Mech. started to check the problem & found the lever was the culprit.. the cable inside the Lever was getting lossend and it was not pulling.. I asked for the replacement.. the Service Engineer took the lever to the spares shop & came with new Lever.. the Mech. fixed the new lever & the issue resolved.

4:00Pm..

We(myself & my Friend) went to MRF showroom to clear the Puncture.. MRF guys cleared the puncture but they took 1:30 hr. & charged Rs.140 for Puncture & Rs.30 for Nitrogen refill.

5:00Pm..
Went to Friend home to drop him.. & reached my home around 6:00Pm.

At the End of the day all the issues in Vista were rectified and I felt Happy
